Il CEO della Strikeforce, Scott Coker, ha annunciato che Batista non ha ancora firmato per la federazione MMA ma esiste comunque una possibilità che The Animal possa lottare in futuro dentro l'ottagono, e in merito a un futuro possibile match tra Batista e Bobby Lashley, quest'ultimo già da tempo nel roster Strikeforce, Coker ha aggiunto che potrebbe essere un match interessante, prendendo poi come esempio Brock Lesnar che ha fatto il salto dal pro wrestling alle arti marziali miste con successo, cosa che sempre secondo il CEO della Strikeforce potrebbe fare anche Batista.
