Nell'edizione di questa settimana della Wrestling Observer Newsletter, come da attese, Dave Meltzer ha pubblicato anche le proprie opinioni e le sue personali valutazioni ai match di WWE Super ShowDown, evento andato in scena giovedì 27 febbraio alla Mohammed Abdu Arena di Riyadh e nel cui main event Goldberg si è laureato, per la seconda volta in carriera, Universal Champion.
Il giornalista, così come molti fan, non ha promosso il pay-per-view, assegnando come voto più alto solamente tre stelle ad un match e votando negativamente il match tra Brock Lesnar e Ricochet, diventando il secondo match nell'arco di pochi mesi a ricevere meno di 0 stelle dopo il main event di Hell in a Cell tra Seth Rollins e “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt (-2 stelle in quel caso).
