Nel corso dell'ultima puntata di Raw è stato aggiunto un nuovo match, il nono, alla card di Extreme Rules, pay-per-view WWE in programma questa domenica al Wells Fargo Center di Philadelphia.
Dopo aver risposto alla open challenge del rientrante Rey Mysterio e aver battuto l'atleta mascherato, Bobby Lashley ha tenuto un promo affermando che è stato l'unico tra lui e Braun Strowman a rialzarsi dopo il falls count anywhere match di lunedì scorso terminato in no contest, aggiungendo che questa domenica sarà anche il Last Man Standing. In seguito la WWE ha ufficializzato il Last Man Standing tra BobbY Lashley e Braun Strowman per la card del pay-per-view.
