WWE has announced that Paul Heyman is the new executive director of RAW and Eric Bischoff is the new executive director of Smackdown. The positions are brand new and both will report directly to Vince McMahon

PWInsider has more details on the new executive director roles for Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff announced by WWE earlier this morning. As we previously noted, Paul Heyman will be in charge of RAW while Eric Bischoff will be in charge of Smackdown, but both will report directly to Vince McMahon. It is said they are at the “top of the pyramid” respectively, and will oversee all aspects of their individual shows.

WWE has been trying to get Heyman back in a creative role as far back as February. They made an offer to Heyman to come back as a top member of the creative team around the same time Bruce Prichard was brought back as a Senior Vice President. Heyman had previously been working on select storylines and with certain talents, including Brock Lesnar and Ronda Rousey, before that.

Eric Bischoff came on within the last several weeks. Before that, he had been working on pre-production for a planned Hulk Hogan biopic for Netflix, as well as getting booked for several personal appearances. During the last week, he began to quietly cancel those appearances, so that’s likely when the deal was finalized.

As noted, WWE announced today that Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff have been hired as full-time Executive Directors of RAW and SmackDown. Heyman will be running the red brand while Bischoff will head up the blue brand. This is not part of a storyline and both will report directly to WWE Chairman Vince McMahon. Bischoff will also work with executives from Fox.

While Bischoff and Heyman are still reporting to Vince, they are essentially running RAW and SmackDown now. It will be interesting to see how Triple H and others factor in to this latest creative shake-up.

C'è da dire che ultimamente la WWE fa così cagare che persino per il peggior head booker dell'intera storia del wrestling, Eric Bischoff, è difficile fare peggio.

Avevo letto di sfuggita e pensavo fosse solo parte della storyline.
Ma qui siamo alle comiche. BIschoff che è tipo la peggior mente creativa in una major (Arquette fu roba sua per 1/3). Ottimo.
Heyman, cioè, Heyman sono 13 anni che non scrive uno show, cioè ne è in grado ancora? Tenendo a mente che le ultime prove furono un sì e un no, cioè la sua OVW con liberta creativa fu figa, la sua ECW ridicola, si salvano due/tre cose, prima abbiamo lo SmackDown! fino al 2005 che insomma dai.

Almeno abbiamo capito chi sarà la prima vittima del nuovo Wyatt : Bischoff

Ma quando mai la WWECW è stata sua. Manco su ONS 2006 ha avuto mano libera. In generale, anche uno volesse credere che abbia ancora qualcosa da dare creativamente, i precedenti ci dicono che si è sempre integrato benissimo all’interno della macchina WWE, no?

Ho appena letto che saranno le teste da far cadere quando Fox a settembre impazzirà per i numeri miseri di tutto. Non mi stupirebbe affatto se fosse effettivamente questo il piano dietro.
