WWE SmackDown Taping Results For June 21st 2013

* SPOILERS: WWE SMACKDOWN TAPINGS FOR JUNE 21 (2013)
- Daniel Bryan began SmackDown talking about never having a match stop because of an injury. Bryan continues to talk about people thinking he is the weak link. Bryan said Randy Orton should have kept the fight going and continue the match, not treat him like a dog and tap on his head. Bryan said he wants to prove he's not the weak link by facing Orton tonight. Orton comes out and says he was trying to help Bryan, but Bryan says he felt like he was being patronized. This sets up the main event of Orton vs. Bryan.
- Curtis Axel vs. Wade Barrett and Alberto Del Rio vs. Chris Jericho is announced for tonight.
1. Sheamus defeated Cody Rhodes (w/Damien Sandow) with the Cloverleaf in 5:36. After the match, Sandow came in and beat down Sheamus.
– Another promo of The Wyatt Family was shown.
2. WWE Intercontinental Champion Curtis Axel (w/Paul Heyman) defeated Wade Barrett to retain in 4:40. Barrett was in control on the outside, then Axel got on the offensive in the ring. Barrett missed his Bullhamer elbow and Axel capitalized for the win. The Miz was on commentary.
3. WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee (w/Big E Langston) defeated Natalya with her submission move from Payback in 2:42. Natalya and AJ argued before the match about AJ not having respect. AJ Lee won in quick fashion by locking in her move and forcing Natalya to tap.
- Backstage, Aksana teasing Kaitlyn about AJ's win and made fun of her. Kaitlyn attacks her and goes crazy until Layla breaks it up.
4. World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio defeated Chris Jericho via disqualification in 10:29. Jericho was in full control early on, but Del Rio hit him hard with some kicks to the chest and legs. Jericho made a comeback late in the match with a lionsault for a two count. Del Rio and Jericho reversed each other's submission moves until Ricardo interfered. This prompted Dolph Ziggler to come out. Alberto Del Rio escaped and Jericho hit Ziggler with the Codebreaker. Del Rio comes back to kick Ziggler and pose over him.
5. Christian defeated Drew McIntyre. He hit the Killswitch for the victory in 2:55. After the match, he cuts a promo about being back in front of his peeps. The Shield interrupted Christian and hit a Triple Powerbomb.
- WWE recapped the Brock-Punk developments from Raw. Renee Young interviewed Paul Heyman in the back regarding Brock Lesnar’s attack on CM Punk, however Heyman avoided the questions and asked Renee some questions himself. Heyman then said that CM Punk made it clear that he isn’t his client, but they are friends and put over Curtis Axel for retaining his WWE Intercontinental Championship earlier in the evening.
6. Daniel Bryan defeated Randy Orton via count-out in 14:11. Bryan tried to get the No Lock on early, but Orton comeback and took control. Both men exchanged back and forth blows. Kicks from Bryan and punches from Orton kept the pace moving along. There was a really good flurry of offense by both. Orton came back with a superplex, but Bryan ducked the RKO. On the outside, Bryan hit a big knee. Bryan hit a suicide dive on Orton and got back in the ring. This counted out Orton.
- After the match, Daniel Bryan demands that the match be restarted. He said he didn't want it to end that way. The ref refuses to restart the match. This concludes the tapings.
