Booker T kicks off SmackDown with a promo about how great 2011 has been. Cody Rhodes interrupts him and tells Booker T that he should leave WWE. Goldust hits the ring in a suit and tells Cody that he shouldn’t insult a legend. Cody insults his brother Goldust before agreeing with Booker T to have a 3rd match next week on SmackDown for the Intercontinental Championship. Cody attacks Goldust before leaving as Booker tends to his former tag partner after the assault.

1. Jinder Mahal beat Ted DiBiase via submission. Mahal beat him with the Camel Clutch.

Backstage, Theodore Long and Aksana are interrupted by Drew McIntyre. Long books McIntyre against Ezekiel Jackson and if he loses, he may get fired.

2. Alicia Fox and Kaitlyn beat Natalya and Tamina. After the match, Tamina turned on Natalya and laid her out with a top-rope splash.

Daniel Bryan and AJ are in the ring cutting a promo, but it’s cut short by Big Show. Big Show says that giants don’t need saving, after Bryan rushed to Big Show’s aid on Raw. Theodore Long comes out and reveals Big Show will face David Otunga tonight and Mark Henry is in Otunga’s corner. Bryan tells Show that maybe giants do need saving.

3. Hunico beat Justin Gabriel. Hunico beat Gabriel with a Swanton Bomb.

4. Big Show beat David Otunga (with Mark Henry). Daniel Bryan hit Mark Henry with the World title during the match, making Henry chase Bryan backstage. Big Show knocked out Otunga for the win.

5. Ezekiel Jackson beat Drew McIntyre. Jackson rolled up McIntyre for the win.

Backstage, McIntyre complains to Theodore Long – Long says he can’t stand losers who complain.

Sheamus hits the ring and talks about winning the Royal Rumble. Hornswoggle comes down and says he will win the Rumble! Heath Slater interrupts and tells Sheamus he is the best red-head on SmackDown. Sheamus tosses Slater over the top rope to end the segment.

6. Sheamus beat Heath Slater. Sheamus nailed him with a Brogue Kick for the win.

Backstage, Daniel Bryan and Big Show are with Theodore Long. Long announces Daniel Bryan vs. Big Show for the World Heavyweight Championship next week on SmackDown.

7. Randy Orton vs. Wade Barrett ends in a no contest. Barrett threw Orton down some stairs and the match was immediately stopped. Orton was in severe pain after the match. No word yet on how this will play out on TV.

E' da vedere quanto è grave l'infortunio di Orton. Da quanto ho capito, non si tratta di un work.

Poveraccio McIntyre. E' diventato la cosa più triste degli ultimi tempi.

SmackDown opens with Booker T coming to the ring for a promo. Booker T enters the ring and talks about how 2011 was a great year for him and thanks the fans. He's interrupted by Cody Rhodes, who proceeds to insult the fans in Indianapolis and several Colts players, who are sitting at ringside. Rhodes then congratulated Booker for beating him on RAW and shakes his hand. He then tells Booker that his fantasy is over, and his in ring career is over. He tells him that he is washed up and is a joke as an announcer and as a person and he should leave WWE.

Goldust comes out in a suit with no makeup or costume. Goldust tells Cody that he knows better than to insult a legend. Cody goes on to insult his brother. Booker defends "Goldy" and said that they should have a rubber match for the title tonight. Cody agreed, but for next week. Booker promises to become the new U.S... before catching himself and saying Intercontinental champion next week. Booker T then left the ring, and Cody attacked Goldust. Cody ran off as Booker returned to the ring to tend to Goldust.

Teddy Long and Aksana are backstage, but are interrupted by Drew McIntyre, who is now once again a SmackDown star. Long tells McIntyre that he makes too much money and has lost his passion. Long told him that if he doesn't beat Ezekiel Jackson later tonight, he may have to look for a new job.

Alicia Fox and Kaitlyn defeated Natalya and Tamina in a bad 30 second diva match. After the match, Tamina attacked Natalya and laid her out with a super kick and a Superfly splash from the top rope.

A promo with Daniel Bryan and AJ is cut short when Big Show interrupted and said that giants don't need saving. Teddy Long comes out and says that the tag team match scheduled for later tonight is off because David Otunga wants a piece of the Big Show. Now Show will face Otunga with Mark Henry in Otunga's corner. Bryan then said that maybe giants do need saving.

Hunico (with a bodyguard) defeated Justin Gabriel with a swanton bomb. After the match, Hunico and his bodyguard double-teamed Gabriel.

The Big Show defeated David Otunga via pinfall. During the match, Daniel Bryan came down to ringside and hit Mark Henry with the World title belt, prompting Henry to chase him to the back. Show proceeded to hit Otunga with the WMD to get the win.

Ezekiel Jackson defeated Drew McIntyre with a roll up while holding the tights.

Backstage McIntyre is complaining to Teddy Long about his loss. Long tells McIntyre that he can't stand losers who complain. McIntyre leaves Long's office upset.

Sheamus is coming out for a promo. He said that he's going to win The Royal Rumble regardless of what number he draws. Hornswoggle comes out. Sheamus asked him who will win the Rumble. Hornswoggle grabbed the mic and goes crazy saying "Hornswoggle" repeatedly while running around. Heath Slater interrupts and insults Hornswoggle. Visit Wrestling Inc. Slater talks about Bushwacker Luke and the Brooklyn Brawler having dreams of winning a Royal Rumble and never doing it. Slater then tells Sheamus that he's the best redhead on SmackDown, not Sheamus. After some more talking, Sheamus ends up throwing Slater over the top rope.

Lilian Garcia announces that Sheamus will face Heath Slater tonight.

Sheamus defeated Heath Slater with the Brogue kick.

Daniel Bryan and Big Show promo with Teddy Long. Bryan calls himself Big Show's good luck charm. Show says that he doesn't need a good luck charm and is getting tired of Bryan coming out to help him. Long announces Daniel Bryan vs. The Big Show for the title for next week on Smackdown which makes Show happy. Bryan states that even if he loses next week, his title reign was longer than Big Show's 45 second reign.

Randy Orton vs. Wade Barrett in a falls count anywhere match is next. Orton threw Barrett in the crowd and the referee gets knocked out. they fight to the backstage area and brawl like they did last week. Backstage an elevator door opens and they fight in an elevator where there's an elevator cam set up. Later, Barrett threw Orton off a set of stairs. The show ends with Orton in extreme pain after being pushed down the stairs. The crowd is not happy as they were not sure if the match was over or not.

Dark Match
Daniel Bryan vs. Wade Barrett vs. Big Show for the World heavyweight title with Booker T as guest referee ended in a minute after Show hit Barrett with the WMD. Show then ran at Bryan, who pulled down the top rope causing Show to fall out. Bryan then quickly covered Barrett for the win. Booker T gets the mic and asks Daniel Bryan to hold up. Booker T and Daniel Bryan do spinaroonies to end the show.

Per il momento dico solo che se la WWE mi regalerà nuovamente (anche se 1 night only) il tag formato da Goldust e Booker T sarà la quint'essenza della gioia

il fatto che McIntyre sia apparso a sd non vuol dire che abbia cambiato roster, visto che ormai gni settimana vi appaio wrestler di Raw

ok perfetto, può essere la volta buona che lo rilanciano, se non sbaglio lui & Barrett sono stati campioni di coppia in FCW, magari ricompongono la coppia a sd

Peeerfetto! è quello che attendevo da mesi. Innanzitutto è a SD che Drew può avere maggiori spazi e questo draft era la premessa giusta da dove poter ricominciare.Poi ciò che hanno fatto questa settimana non è altro che il punto della situazione attuale di McIntyre,ossia che lui ha un grandissimo potenziale ma attualmente non riesce proprio a capitalizzare il grande lavoro che fa sul ring ( e questo lo hanno esplicato con la sconfitta via roll-up contro Zeke). Come ha detto long Drew in questo momento ha perso il "focus",secondo il GM i soldi hanno annebbiato la testa dello scozzese e lui non ha più la concentrazione giusta per capitalizzare.Tutto questo è grandioso,perchè in una sola puntata hanno "spiegato" mesi e mesi di ottime prestazioni condite da decine e decine di sconfitte,hanno messo Drew davanti al suo problema e Long lo ha messo alle strette.Io lo vedo come il classico momento di svolta nella carriera di un wrestler.Adesso Drew è frustrato come non mai,il GM che qualche mese fa era suo schiavo adesso lo chiama perdente...a questo punto qualcosa di grosso sta per succedere..e ciò che mi fa ben sperare è che non avrebbero messo su8 un draft e queste scenette se non avessero finalmente deciso di far coincidere l'inizio del 2012 con una nuova chance per il Chosen One. A sto punto cresce l'hype a 1000 per lo show blu

P.S. spiace per il povero Randy,sono ansioso di avere news sulle sue condizioni nella speranza che non sia nulla di grave.Adesso perlomeno potranno sfruttare il fatto che Barrett abbia messo "fuori gioco" Randy per continuare a pushare l'inglese fino al top.

Come l'anno scorso, i Main Event di Raw e Smackdown nel nuovo anno, saranno due match per il titolo del mondo, bene così. E lo scorso anno avevamo Mysterio/DelRio 2-3 Falls il prossimo anno invece, il match per il titolo IC (e si son gettate le basi per Cody-Goldust)

Sono davvero contenta che Drew sia tornato nel roster che mai avrebbe dovuto lasciare.
