Mi spiace solo che il turn face sia avvenuto così, senza alcun motivo, buttato lì solo perché Alberto 'doveva' essere turnato, nient'altro.

A parte questo, mi sta piacendo anche in questa veste di 'eroe messicano'. Come wrestler è sempre stato ottimo, può fare un buon match praticamente con chiunque, e anche come intrattenitore sta migliorando.

Un Del Rio vs Ziggler con la giusta cornice può regalare grandi momenti di wrestling.

"It’s no secret within WWE that Alberto Del Rio’s World Heavyweight Title push is tied into Cain Velasquez winning the UFC Heavyweight Title and doing a shockingly big number on pay-per-view.

Del Rio’s title win happened about a week after WWE became aware that the UFC show with Latin Superstar Velasquez winning did a lot better than expected going in."

WWE World Heavyweight Champion Alberto del Rio gave an interview with Yahoo! Deportes over the weekend where he admitted that Mexico isn’t in the WWE plans anymore due to declining a economy, attendances, ratings, and even piracy. ADR said that once WWE sees that a market is beyond saving in their minds then they would turn their attention to newer markets. ADR said that a couple of years ago Mexico was held in high regard by the promotion but their last tour there last year was considered a flop in their eyes with the lack of merchandise sold being a key factor in determining that the product just wasn’t hot anymore. ADR spoke of his future and said while he hopes to return to Mexico one day he feels a deep sense of gratitude to the WWE for giving him the opportunity that made him a superstar and they stood by him in very difficult situations. ADR said that the WWE is like family and when he retires he hopes to become a road agent where he will be able to share his experiences with younger talent to help them grow to become superstars like him.

- WWE Legend Paul Bearer recently spoke with Chris Yandek of CYInterview.com and says he knows he will be going into the WWE Hall of Fame one day, whether it be next year or 5 years from now. Here are some highlights from the interview:

His WWE status:
“People that don’t know, that don’t see me, I am still involved. I’m still under contract with WWE. I’m under a legends contract with WWE and I do things now and then with them like WrestleMania and go do signings, this, that and the other. Plus I work the independent organizations all around the country. I go out to L.A. once a month and do Championship Wrestling from Hollywood. We tape four weeks of TV once a month out there and some months I’m busy every weekend doing wrestling stuff.”

Helping Ricardo Rodriguez:
“I think a hell of a lot of Ricardo Rodriguez who manages Alberto Del Rio. He has become a very good friend of mine and I give him tips all the time and not that he needs them. And when I see things that I like, I let him know that I liked it and he’s very respectful and very, knows the history of our business and he deserves to be where he’s at and other than Ricardo Rodriguez, there really isn’t any managers, you know WWE doesn’t have any managers. … Bobby Heenan and Lou Albano and I could just go on and on and on, you know all the old school managers, there are none.”

Mick Foley's WWE Hall of Fame induction:
“I love him dearly. I had so much fun managing him when he was Mankind ‘cause we was going against The Undertaker. … We just had so much fun because he wore that mask, you know that covered half of his long hair and that mask and all that and we were just like kids out there all the time and I was the only one that could ever make The Undertaker laugh and he could be laughing and nobody ever knew it and the same with Mick Foley.”
