AEW has reportedly hired Michael Mansury, who previously worked as WWE’s Vice President of Global Television Production.

A new report from PWInsider notes that Mansury will start working for AEW at tomorrow’s Winter Is Coming Dynamite taping from Garland, TX. He was backstage for the recent Full Gear pay-per-view, but is now officially with the company.

Mansury’s new title with AEW is the Senior Vice President & Co-Executive Producer.

The new hire is seen as a big acquisition for AEW.

Mansury’s LinkedIn page notes that he worked for MTV3 from January 2008 – March 2009, then began working as a Production Assistant for WWE, from March 2009 – March 2012. He then worked as a WWE Associate Producer from March 2012 – March 2013, then worked as a WWE Producer from March 2013 – 2014. Mansury was promoted to role of Managing Producer of TV Production in March 2014, and held that position until February 2016. He worked as WWE’s Vice President of Global Television Production from February 2016 – May 2020.

After WWE, Mansury went to work for Pat McAfee as an Executive Producer, a job he held from June 2020 – May 2021. He worked as ONE Fighting Championship’s Senior Vice President & Executive Producer of Global Production from August 2021 until November 2022, then signed with AEW this month.

When he left WWE, Mansury was seen as a big part of the crew led by current WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H, with some referring to him as unofficially the “next” version of WWE Executive Producer & Chief of Global Television Distribution Kevin Dunn, with the idea that he would one day fill Dunn’s role down the line. Mansury gave his notice when he left the company and that came as a shock to many.

Speaking with Sean Ross Sapp at WrestleCade, Page commented on his decision to re-sign with the company. He made it clear that he couldn't be happier with AEW, and he pointed to his run to the finals of the AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament as a highlight.
Yeah, they’re going good. I couldn’t be happier with AEW. Especially on-screen recently. To have the run through that entire tournament, it was like a ‘We’re going to give this guy the ball’ moment for me. It was nice to actually to be able to, what I feel, do something with it

Page also recalled signing with AEW in the first place and noted that plenty of uncertainty came with the move, as it was during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. He stated that he knows he made the right choice by coming to AEW, and he believes the sky is the limit. Page emphasized the freedoms the company gives the talent as one key positive.

Yeah and it was scary. I was very nervous. It was during the pandemic so [there was] so much uncertainty. It all worked out in the end and now we’re almost two years in and I couldn’t be happier. I know I made the right choice. I think sky’s the limit, too. The freedoms that they give us as performers to kind of create our own characters and presence and style and the fact that I can differentiate myself from everyone else on the show and no one is telling me, ‘No, no, be more like this guy,’ or ‘Do it more like this.’ It’s very much, ‘Whatever Ethan Page brings to the table, is what he brings to the table. If it’s good, we’re gonna put it on TV and if it’s not, we won’t,'

A gennaio cambieranno cose.
Molto curioso.

In an interview with Scott Fishman of TV Insider, Tony Khan confirmed changes to the AEW Dynamite and Rampage sets beginning next year:

"I don’t want to let the cat out of the bag necessarily, especially so close to the big day. But at the start of 2023, we’re going to open the year on Wednesday, January 4 with the first Dynamite in Seattle, marking a full year of Dynamite on TBS.

We’ll definitely have a new look, to say the least. I’m excited about it. I think it’s a nice thing to present to the fans, but frankly, I’ve found more so than ever, the more you talk about these things. When you build them up, you don’t want to create expectations that are impossible. I will say the set will be beautiful though. The look of Rampage will also be different.

This will affect the way people view AEW on Wednesdays and Fridays in terms of presentation with the set and the show with the same great action,"

Non so cosa aspettarmi.
