Dove eravate voi mentre le tartarughe ninja sfidavano i Guardiani della Galassia e volavano dai tetti delle case sfiorando chiodi sporgenti arruginiti nell'impatto? Questa è la lucha underground.

Anzi no, la Chilanga Mask strizza pure troppo l'occhio alle indies nordamericane, dà il main event ad ACH e propone un sacco di 1 vs 1 come se ci trovassimo a Chicago e non a Coacalco de Berriozábal, dove vogliamo i tipici match a squadre della tradizione messicana. No, questa è la vera lucha underground

Comunque, non stavi provando a seguire anche la AAA? C'hai rinunciato? Non ti biasimo, dopo la morte di Perro sono rimasti praticamente in un limbo per mesi e mesi, in particolare il feud Alberto vs Brian Cage è sembrato interminabile, nonostante poi non gliene importasse niente a nessuno (anche se inserito in un feud più ampio tra Alberto e La Sociedad).

Quest'anno ho visto poco e non c'è molto che mi attiri da recuperare, in ogni caso:

-MOTY: la finale del climax tra Tanahashi/Nakamura
Ma mi devo ancora vedere il Tenryu/Okada che è il MOTY per il Tokyo Sports

-Wrestler of the Year: Minoru Suzuki perché sono un suo blindmark e perché è riuscito a imporsi anche in NOAH, a quasi cinquant'anni di età lotta meglio di molti suoi colleghi più giovani

-Miglior Show: Wrestlekingdom 9 (non che sia stato granché)

-Promotion of the Year: credo la BJW, anche se non l'ho molto seguita

-Menzione speciale a Zack Sabre Jr. che se ne è andato dalla NOAH dopo che stagnava da tempo in coppia con Ogawa, si spera trovi la strada giusta

-Premio alla carriera per Tenryu che si ritira dopo 39 anni nel pro-wrestling. Avrei voluto scrivere un post che ripercorresse la carriera nel giorno del ritiro, ma poi mi è mancata la voglia e mi sono ricordato che lo avrebbero letto in quattro io compreso; magari più in là

Di americano ho visto solo Wrestlemania (4/10), Summerslam (3/10) e il triple threat della Royal Rumble che non è stato male

Di messicano nulla di nulla, mi riservo solo di vedere il main event dell' 82° anniversario CMLL visto che dicono che è meglio di quello dell'anno scorso

Considerando il Wrestling come una unica entità, uno dei momenti più bassi di sempre.

Impazziscono anche per qualsiasi incrocio tra i due già citati, Hechicero e Caifan.

Una critica articolata in "si chiama Uderground ma non è Underground, poser" e "non è una promotion ma uno show televisivo, poser" non mi pare degna di te.
Per prima cosa non capisco perché uno che segue un programma chiamato Lucha Underground debba avere velleità da Undergrounder (per il nome? ma dai) o da esperto di Lucha Libre Messicana. ma mo davvero il wrestling extra major americane dev'essere un circoletto?, in secondo luogo, come prodotto tv di wrestling è competitor per RAW, SD, NXT, TNA, ROH. il fatto che non sia una promotion vera è propria è effettivamente la cosa che mi dispiace di più.

poi in una stagione ha sviluppato un proprio universo narrativo. non occorre aver visto Ricochet per capire Prince Puma, né conoscere a menadito cos'ha fatto Fènix prima della Lucha Underground. in quell'universo funzionano e spaccano, ed è un universo che segue leggi proprie.

e comunque si, la Lucha Underground mi ha portato un po' di più a contatto con la AAA (prima di quello giusto quando i big TNA si facevano Triplemania), però fondamentalmente troppi nani e travestiti da contorno ad un prodotto che di base non è entusiasmante. mi tengo il format figo. che poi mi pare che tu non abbia mai voluto seguire la LU un po' a prescindere, sbaglio?

Fatto sta che televisivamente è stato lo show dell'anno. costruzioni e caratterizzazioni per tutti, storyline ben sviluppate, format tv innovativo, tanti bei match e costruzione di una propria mitologia interna (e non è solo pop corn wrestling. sebbene sia anche quello. )

Quindi davvero, dov'è la critica? in Dragon Gate fanno match più belli e sticazzi se non capisco una parola di giapponese? e mica deve piacere a tutti la stessa cosa.
per quanto in realtà la DG è una cosa che mi attizza da tanto. però va un po' oltre i miei livelli di nerdismo. conta che nella real life sono un tizio che passa le giornate dividendosi tra la fenomenologia Husserliana ed il colpo di stato oligarchico del 411 A.c ad Atene. mi manca soltanto di recuperare la storiografia delle realtà del wrestling indipendente Cileno e poi la mia ragazza mi molla sul serio.

Ma va va, e ti ho pure citato il "dove eravate". Mi riferivo al commento di Lisergic "cazzate che ti spacciano per underground", che pur capendo il suo discorso mi era sembrata un'uscita venuta male. E ci ho scherzato su. Se tante volte anche RobLP mi avesse frainteso, io ero serio in prima pagina, non intendevo prenderlo in giro o altro.

Parlando seriamente non do del poser a nessuno, perché sono stato un rookie desideroso di emergere anche io e cerco una coerenza (o un'espiazione se preferisci), e anche perché a me i poser divertono molto.

No no, all'inizio ero fiducioso, ma mi son venuti i brividi nel vedere match tra luchadores di 4 minuti (nel 2015, posso capirli in WCW o in WWF), il pubblico finto (se c'è una cosa che mi piace della lucha è il pubblico, per esempio se fai un match che li entusiasma ti tirano i soldi sul ring), e un contorno da telenovela.
La AAA al momento è un prodotto scarso nelle zone alte della card, però le mini estrellas sono una delle parti migliori del lowcarding, anche se lo penso solo io a leggere le liste di match degli altri appassionati. Non apprezzi neanche Mini Drago?
