•Raw is War began with a montage of Thursday's Smackdown! in which Vince McMahon saved Steve Austin from a chair shot, and Austin returned the favor by stunning Shane McMahon twice. The footage then went to last night's Heat in which Shane challenged his father.
•Corporate Ministry Interview.
-Shane McMahon began his tirade explaining that he is not responsible for what the Corporate Ministry does as he continues to rage on about compassion. He then called everybody that lived form paycheck to paycheck losers and said he had it all. Triple H then went on his own spree about calling the Rock the "Crock" and setting up his match against him at Over the Edge. The Undertaker then took control of the microphone saying he hates Steve Austin the most out of everybody while he sets up his match for Over the Edge. He told Austin that he will take his title at Over the Edge and then sacrifice him the next night on Raw is War to a power even higher than him. Shane McMahon finished the interview by reminding everybody that he is the special guest referee and telling Vince McMahon that he had two hours to get to the ring and face him.
•Mankind/Paul Wight/Ken Shamrock/Test Interview.
-Mankind, Paul Wight, Test, and Ken Shamrock came out with two-by-fours as Mankind took the microphone and said that they all were disgruntled employees of the Corporation. He explained that their name would be the Union that People like You OUght to Respect. He explained that that spelled "up yours" and that would be their name. The Union then made their way down to the ring and surrounded the ring. A rumble began in the ring as they knocked out the whole Corporate Ministry and made them run to the backstage area.
•Billy Gunn pinned X-Pac
-The upper hand in this match constantly changed, however X-Pac's moments were high-flying and risk taking. At one point, X-Pac hit many repetitive maneuvers, however he did not achieve a pin count. The final turn of the match began when Billy Gunn stopped X-Pac's bronco buster by a kick directly to the testicles. He then hit a fam-ass-er for the pin as he went outside to bring a chair into the ring. When Billy Gunn was about to hit X-Pac with a chair, Jesse James came running down to save him by knocking Billy out of the ring. He quickly returned knocking the Road Dog out with a chair as Kane's music went over the loud speakers. Kane quickly made his way to the ring as Billy Gunn rolled out and continued to the backstage area.
•The door to Shane McMahon's dressing room is shown getting knocked at from the inside as Shane seemed to be complaining.
•Shane McMahon Interview.
-Along with the Corporate Ministry, Shane McMahon announced a few changes for tonight's lineup. The "asshole" chants were so loud that it was hard to hear Shane talk as his father along with his mother (Linda) and sister entered the arena. The Big Boss Man/Viscera/Midian versus Test was set up along with Mankind squaring off against the Acolytes. Triple H versus Ken Shamrock was then announced with Chyna as the special guest referee as Shane continued with the Mean Street Posse against the Stooges. He ended by making four more matches, Paul Wight versus the Undertaker, the Rock against Steve Austin in a lumberjack match (Corporate Ministry as lumberjacks), himself against Vince McMahon, and Sable against Debra in an evening gown match for his own enjoyment.
•Vince McMahon/Linda McMahon Interview.
-Vince McMahon made his way down to the ring by himself, however Linda and Stephanie made their way down as well with a bunch of police officers. He began by asking Shane to stop going so far, but Shane quickly retaliated saying that he is running the show. Vince McMahon quickly declined Shane's challenge for a match as he turned the microphone over to his wife who pleaded for Shane to stop. Shane then told his own mother to "shut up" as Vince began to push him around the ring. Shane stood up to his father the whole way by telling him that he could have "them" do it all over again. (Mentioning that he was behind the Undertaker capturing Stephanie.) Vince then quickly charged the ring as the Corporate Ministry began to pound on him with the Undertaker taunting.
•Linda and Stephanie McMahon are shown in the backstage area pleading with Vince not to fight Shane, however he quickly ignores them yelling that he will kick Shane's ass.
•Pat Patterson/Gerald Brisco defeated Mean Street Posse
(Count-out)
-Patterson and Brisco quickly attack the Mean Street Posse and dominated the early part of the match using their belts as whips and their older wrestling skills to their advantage. Both men also used the steel steps and the outside ring area to their advantage. The crowd had a great reaction to both men as they were declared the winners most likely by count-out although it was never officially said.
•After the match, Shane McMahon was shown speaking with the Corporate Ministry in the backstage area. After the commercial break, the Corporate Ministry is shown walking in the backstage area.
•Test pinned Midian/Big Boss Man/Viscera
*Four-Corners Match*
-Although the match was officially a four-corners match, it was obviously a handicapped match instead. Test dominated a great deal of the match, but the Corporate Ministry overcame him with their constant tags. While the referee's back was turned, the Big Boss Man mistakenly hit Midian with a stick allowing Test to receive the pin. Quickly after the conclusion of the match, the men attacked Test, who was finally saved by the Union.
•Triple H with Chyna and the Undertaker are shown walking out of Vince McMahon's office. We are then told that they just assaulted him.
•Vince McMahon pinned Shane McMahon
-Because he believed that his father would not be coming down to wrestle, Shane began to assault his father saying that he can't wait to publicly destroy him. Vince McMahon then came limping out of the Titantron area as he fell a bit down the ramp. Shane McMahon met him there and began to beat him up on the steel ramp. Shane continued his assault on his father in the ring as it looked like Vince had no chance to win. He finally ducked a clothesline and hit one of his own as he countered with a stunner and a pin.
•Acolytes pinned Mankind
*Hardcore Rules Handicapped Match*
-The Acolytes dominate the early part of the match-up with their constant use of the steel steps (in and out of the ring) and some two-by-fours. Mankind, however, used steel trash cans and empty boxes for his advantage. Faarooq then missed a chair shot to receive a double-arm-DDT and a mandible claw. Bradshaw quickly broke up the mandible claw as he took the advantage in the match-up. After a double power bomb onto two steel chairs, the Acolytes received the win.
•Triple H pinned Ken Shamrock
[Chyna is the special guest referee.]
-Both men dominated an equal share of the match as Chyna did not get involved that much. The only times Chyna showed favoritism was a fast count for Triple H and a rake of the face when Shamrock had a submission maneuver on Triple H. Chyna also covered her eyes when Triple H went for illegal maneuvers, but Ken Shamrock still countered with a pin (again not counted). As Triple H had the pedigree almost set in, Ken Shamrock reversed it into an ankle-lock-submission. Chyna then interfered by bringing Triple H's hand to the ropes and choking Ken Shamrock. She later delivered a low blow allowing Triple H to hit the pedigree for the pin.
•In a split-screen view, Paul Wight and the Undertaker are shown getting ready.
•Paul Wight defeated Undertaker
(Disqualification)
-The Undertaker was the aggressor in the early going, however Paul Wight quickly took the advantage and knocked the Undertaker to the outside of the ring. As he was bleeding from the left side of his face, the Undertaker poured an ather-type substance on his elbowpad causing Paul Wight to become almost unconscious at the smell of it. The Undertaker then smacked Paul Wight over the head with a baseball bat (which exploded into pieces) as he assulted him in the middle of the ring.
•Debra is shown in the backstage area taking a walk to get ready for her match.
•Nicole Bass defeated Debra
(Disqualification)
*Evening Gown Match*
[The victor is the woman who disrobes the other woman to her bra and panties.]
-Sable is shown on the Titantron declining Shane's offer for the match becasue she is at Hugh Hefner's mansion getting ready to shoot her second Playboy photo shoot. Nicole Bass took her place in the match. Debra takes off her own dress as not to get hurt, but Nicole Bass had other ideas. As she began to fight Debra, Jeff Jarrett ran down to clock her with a guitar sending Val Venis down to knock him out of the ring. Val Venis then left by carrying Debra out willfully.
•Steve Austin and the Rock are shown in the backstage area preparing for their match. We are told that after the commercial break, Jeff Jarrett found Val Venis and both brawled in the backstage area.
•The match of Steve Austin against the Rock in a lumberjack match was about to begin. After Steve Austin and the Rock made their enterances to the ring, the lumberjacks (the whole Corporate Ministry) made their way to the ring. Instead of attacking each other, Steve Austin and the Rock attacked each and every member of the Corporate Ministry. Eventually, they got out numbered and pumbelled in the ring. Vince McMahon then appeared by the enterance way and was shown throwing the Union along with the Godfather, X-Pac, and a few more wrestlers down to the ring. Eventually, the numbers evened out as Triple H, and the Undertaker attacked the Rock with Steve Ausitn fighting elsewhere. Austin finally appeared and attacked the Undertaker. Quickly, however, both men went on top of a square contraption which went into the steel platform with smoke coming out. Everyone believed that they dissapeared until Steve Austin jumped out and began attacking Triple H, inadvertantly knocking the Rock off and into the crowd. The Undertaker then re-appeared and tossed Steve Austin to the same place as the Rock was laying. The cameras showed both men lying in a rumble of talbes, ladders and electronical units as Raw is War went off the air with the Corporate Ministry's music.
