•Hosted by: Jim Ross & Jim Cornette
•Live from: Hartford, Connecticut
•Reported by: Adam Silver
•The WWF opened Raw is War with a black screen and a white marquee going up and down through it. It was there to ask everyone for a moment of silence for the deceased in Littleton, Colorado and told us that some of the WWF's representatives are in the home of one of the deceased. After the saddening moment of silence, a small recap of Backlash is shown as Vince McMahon is shown walking out of his limousine with his head down and the cronies with him.
•The Rock/Shane McMahon Interview.
-The Rock began his tirade by telling the crowd that he did everything he said he would do (beat Austin up) and that Steve Austin is still a piece of trash. As he continued he told Shane McMahon that he is mad at him because earlier he told him not to get involved in the match. This brought Shane McMahon down with the rest of the Corporation (and Triple H pointing at the Rock). As the "asshole" chants began, Shane McMahon told the Rock that he almost handed him the heavyweight championship last night, but the Rock had to befriend the people. He then continued to call the Rock a loser and told him that he is a piece of "monkey crap." To this, the Rock took off his sun glasses and told Shane that he will beat him up if his tirade continued. The Rock then clocked Triple H as Chyna tried to attack him but failed. The rest of the Corporation stood pummeling him as Shane pulled most of them away so he could kick the Rock in the stomach. Shane McMahon then fired the Rock as the Corporation left the ring. The Rock then challenged Shane McMahon to a match later tonight and Shane accepted on the spot.
•Vince McMahon is shown with the cronies in the locker room who are trying to persuade him to call the police. Vince replied that he would not because he brought everything the Undertaker asked for and he will play the game his way. he then explained that if the Undertaker harmed Stephanie in any way he would pay.
•After the commercial break, Shane McMahon is shown with the Corporation in the backstage area talking about his match with the Rock. Triple H calls him "the Crock" as he did back in his DeGeneration X days.
•X-Pac/Kane pinned Edge/Gangrel.
-As X-Pac makes his way into the ring, his music shut off and then turned back on as he did the DX chop without the music. X-Pac and Kane dominated the match with constant high-flying maneuvers and power. Kane pinned Edge with a chokeslam. As the match ended, the lights went off and the Brood attacked Kane on the outside of the ring. When the lights turned back on, X-Pac was shown on the ring while Kane was covered in blood. Kane then chokeslam X-Pac over the barricades and walked out to the locker room.
•The Rock is shown in the backstage waiting for his match as Vince McMahon heard the phone ring. After the commercial, prerecorded footage is shown of the Undertaker telling Vince McMahon that she is fine. Vince said that he wanted Stephanie back unharmed, and the Undertaker agreed that he would hand her back that way as long as McMahon did not tamper with the documents. The Undertaker gave him directions on where to bring the documents and told him that he wanted Steve Austin to deliver the documents and not him.
•Steve Austin/Vince McMahon Confrontation.
-As Michael Cole began to try and interview Steve Austin, Austin stole the microphone from him and made a huge rant about winning last night at Backlash. This brought Vince McMahon to the ringside area with a mixed reception from the audience. McMahon quickly told Austin that he needed his help as Austin repeated the words getting an answer of yes. Vince continued to tell the whole story of what the Undertaker said on the phone and explained that the situation is not about both of them, but Stephanie instead. Steve Austin quickly said that he doesn't care about Vince McMahon's problems, but McMahon explains that the Undertaker demanded Austin to deliver the documentation. Austin then asked Vince McMahon to say "Vince McMahon needs Stone Cold Steve Austin." And, infact, Vince McMahon said it. Steve Austin then explained that for 15 months Vince McMahon made his life a living hell every week on Raw is War, and that he has not forgotten one thing. Austin then said that he needed Vince McMahon too..."Steve Austin needs Vince McMahon...to kiss his ass." Austin then shooed Vince to the locker room as he paraded in the ring.
•After the commercial, Vince McMahon is shown in the locker room telling the cronies that he will have to deliver the papers himself because he has no choice. The cronies offered to go with him, but McMahon declined.
•Val Venis versus D'Lo Brown
-As Val Venis was ready to do his introduction, D'Lo Brown's music came on interrupting him. The upper hand in the match changed constantly as Val Venis kicked out of many pins and D'Lo Brown hit a few good high-flying maneuvers. As Nicole Bass made her way down to the ring, D'Lo Brown used it to his advantage and hit the 'lo down for the pin. Nicole Bass then stepped into the ring and stood over Val Venis as Ivory came from in back of her and tried to choke her. Bass quickly threw her off as Val Venis ran to the backstage area.
•Steve Austin is shown in the backstage area being confronted by Paul Wight who tried to persuade him to help Vince McMahon. Austin declined saying he didn't care.
•Billy Gunn Interview.
-Michael Cole interviewed Billy Gunn in the backstage area who mostly ranted on Triple H for their match tonight.
•Triple H pinned Billy Gunn
-Billy Gunn entered with new music made especially for him as a singles competitor. During the match, Billy Gunn's knee began to hurt him and Triple H capitalized on it as he did with X-Pac's neck last night. At one point, Triple H put on a figure-four-leg-lock while he used the ropes (Hebner eventually caught him). Both men then went to the outside of the ring as Billy Gunn knocked down Triple H and then got thrown into the ringpost by Chyna. This brought the Road Dog down to the ring only too late because Triple H hit a pedigree on Billy Gunn for the pin.
•Shane McMahon is shown in the backstage area sending members of the Corporation off to do various things which we are not told of. After the commercial, X-Pac is shown in a rampage in the backstage area looking for Kane.
•Mankind/Paul Wight defeated Big Boss Man/Test
(Submission)
-As Test tried for numerous tags, the Big Boss Man was looking away. Finally, he decided to get tagged in at one point. Mankind dominated the early part of the match, however the real domination began when Paul Wight uwas tagged in. Even when the Big Boss Man and Test tried to double team him, Pal Wight dominated. The Big Boss Man then threw Test into Paul Wight who threw him into Mankind who hit a double-arm-DDT and a mandible claw on him for the victory.
•After the completion of the match, the Big Boss Man was shown in the ring arguing face-to-face with Test. When Test tried to walk away, the Big Boss Man pulled him around only to recieve a knock down. The Big Boss Man then attacked him with the nightstick and threw him outside of the ring.
•Vince McMahon was shown standing by a sliding steel door with his briefcase waiting for the Undertaker to show up. Steve Austin is then shown walking by a television set with Vince McMahon on it and then walking away.
•After the commercial break, X-Pac is shown still looking for Kane as Hardcore Holly is shown attacking Al Snow by the Raw is War interview section. Holly yelled for a Hardcore Championship rematch as Al Snow coughed on the ground.
•The Cleavage house is shown again except this time we got to go inside. We saw Mosh of the Headbangers sitting there eating cereal while making some corny comments with a laugh track in the background.
•The Godfather pinned Jeff Jarrett
*Intercontinental Championship*
[If Jeff Jarrett wins he gets the Intercontinental Championship, however if the Godfather wins he recieves Debra as a ho.]
-After the Godfather did his introduction, Jeff Jarrett demanded the match to be for the Intercontinental Championship because he was a two-time champion. The Godfather agrees only on the exception taht if the Godfather wins Debra becomes one of his ho's. As Jeff Jarrett scored a DDT in the middle of the ring, Val Venis came down to talk to Debra causing Nicole Bass to follow. Jarrett therefore got distracted and therefore pinned by the Godfather as Debra began her way into the ring to become a ho. Owen Hart quickly ran from an unknown area to grab Debra and bring her away.
•Before the next commercial, Vince McMahon was shown waiting for the Undertaker to show up and receive his papers. After the commercial, P.M.S. is shown feeling up a man while they said how sexy and hot he was. Mark Henry's music was playing in the background as the man said he would be there to fill their desires and more.
•Ken Shamrock versus Bradshaw
-Ken Shamrock, not in his wrestling gear, came down to the ring with a baseball bat as Faarooq quickly ran after him. Test then ran into the ring to save Ken Shamrock, but the Acolytes pummelled Test as Ken Shamrock got up. He began to snap as he rid the ring of all three men and hit the announcing tables and chairs with his baseball bat. Shamrock and Test then stood almost eye to eye in the ring.
•Shane McMahon was shown in the backstage area getting ready to begin his match with the Rock later in the show.
•The Rock versus Shane McMahon
-Within one minute of the match beginning, Rodney and Pete Gas entered the ring to destory the Rock. Instead, they recieved two rock bottoms as the Rock performed the same maneuver on Shane McMahon. As the Rock was about to deliver the people's elbow to Shane McMahon, Triple H and Chyna ran in to stop him. Triple H then delivered a pedigree and slapped him a few times. Chyna then began to beat down on the Rock as Rodney and Pete Gas joined in. Shane McMahon, Pete Gas, and Rodney held the referees and officials back as Triple H and Chyna continued their assault.
•Vince McMahon picked up his briefcase from the place where he was standing and left as Stephanie McMahon is shown inside the arena pleading with the Undertaker and the Acoltyes to let go of her. Paul Bearer is shown laughing as we are told that the Ministry would be coming to the ring.
•X-Pac came out to the ring and ordered Kane to the ring so he would know whether he was against him or with him. Instead, Jeff Jarrett and Owen Hart came out from the crowd and attacked X-Pac as Kane's music came over the loud speakers. Kane immediatley walked towards the ring and cleared it of both members of Canadian Country with chokeslams. X-Pac then turned Kane around and pushed him as Kane chokeslamed him again onto the canvas. Kane then looked over his shoulder to see X-Pac still down on the canvas. He then rolled X-Pac to the outside of the ring and put him over his shoulder to carry him back to the locker room as a friend.
•The Undertaker to marry Stephanie McMahon.
-The Ministry of Darkness brought Stephanie McMahon on the Undertaker's symbol to the ring with Stephanie yelling for them to let her go. Before the Undertaker continued, he explained that he is not to blame for what is going to happen and that it is Vince McMahon's fault for not following through. He then told Vince that Steve Austin showed his true colors as Stephanie McMahon continued to scream on the symbol. Paul Bearer began to read wedding vows asking Stephanie McMahon if she would take the Undertaker as her savior and husband. This brought Ken Shamrock down to the ring who simply got destroyed by the Acoytes and Viscera. Shane McMahon was shown in the locker room telling the Corporation not to move until it gets really bad. The Undertaker said "I do" to letting Stephanie McMahon bear his offspring and marry him as Paul Wight came down and cleared the ring of everybody except the Undertaker, Paul Bearer, and Stephanie McMahon. Paul Bearer announced them together as the unholy union of darkness as Steve Austin charged towards the ring and attacked everyone including the Undertaker. As Steve Austin stunned Midian, he clocked the Acolytes and Viscera with a chair and then hit Midian with another chair. The Undertaker fled as Steve Austin was left alone in the ring with Stephanie. He then untied her hands and feet as Stephanie ran to hug him with Austin not hugging back. Eventually, Steve Austin put his arms around her as Vince McMahon ran down to the ring and held her tight. Vince then said thank you to Steve Austin without a microphone as Raw is War went off the air.

•Hosted by: Michael Cole and Jim Cornette
•Taped from: New Haven, Connecticut
•Reported by: Adam Silver
•WWF Smackdown! began with footage of last week's Raw is War and Steve Austin staving Stephanie from the Undertaker.
•Vince/Stephanie McMahon Interview.
-Vince and Stephanie McMahon made their way down to the ring with four armed security guards. Vince began by explaining that he was an asshole and hopefully he can change. He explained that he was ruthless and uncaring of others and would do anything in the name of business or family. He continues to say that he will thank everybody that has helped him lately. He began to thank Ken Shamrock, Paul Wight, and Steve Austin for helping save his daughter's life. Stephanie then took the microphone and thanked the same people as her father did explaining what happened in detail. She especially took detail to thanking Steve Austin and telling the Undertaker to "go to hell." Vince then retook the microphone and explains that he wants to make a promise to Steve Austin, but he gets interrupted by Shane McMahon's music. Along with the whole Corporation, Shane McMahon made his way into the ring.
•Vince McMahon/Shane McMahon Confrontation.
-Shane began by explaining that he would have been there to help Stephanie if she was in trouble at all, but since she was not yet he didn't have the Corporation come down to the ring. Shane then told his father to shut up as he began to talk and continued ranting on how Vince has softened. Shane continued by saying that as far as business goes he doesn't give a damn about his father or his sister. Vince then goes to slap him, but he gets stopped by Triple H and Chyna. Shane then told them to step aside as he told his father to leave the ring because he was running the show. "One day Shane, you may be a man. Tonight your acting like a petulant little boy." Vince and Stephanie then left the ring as Shane continued his rant on the Rock and Steve Austin saying they were both #1 on his hit list. Shane McMahon then went on to form a match for later in the night with Steve Austin and the Rock squaring off against Triple H and the Undertaker.
•The Undertaker Interview.
-The Undertaker then got on the loud speakers to confirm his decision and telling Austin how he ruined his wedding ceremony last Monday on Raw is War.
•Jeff Jarrett and Debra are shown in the backstage area trying to find Owen Hart. Owen is then shown in the Blue Blazer's outfit saying that the WWF needs a super hero as he ran down a hallway.
•Blue Blazer pinned Val Venis
-Val Venis did his usual opening as Jeff Jarrett made his way down to the ring with Debra. Jeff Jarrett explained that because he could not find Owen Hart, he would take his place tonight. The Blue Blazer (Owen Hart) ran down to the ring and attacked Val Venis from behind. As Venis hit a nice elbow drop from the top rope, Debra got up on the ring apron and began to undress as Val Venis turned around. He hit a bridge suplex as the referee was distracted. Jarrett then jumped into the ring and kicked Venis in the testicles as the Blue Blazer got the pin. Nicole Bass then made her way down to the ring as Val Venis ran away from her.
•The Godfather made his way down to the ring and quickly attacked the Blue Blazer and Jeff Jarrett. As he chased them out of the ring, he found Debra in the corner and began to taunt her as the Blazer and Jarrett attacked from behind.
•The Rock is shown in the backstage area talking to himself by saying that he will make some people famous tonight.
•Blue Blazer Interview.
-The Blue Blazer explained that the WWF needs a super hero who can protect good from evil. He continued by saying that he will help smooth out the WWF as he told the children to eat their vitamins, drink their milk, etc.
•Paul Wight pinned Test
-As quick as Test began the attack it ended with a big drop-kick and the (show stopper) chokeslam from Paul Wight. We are told that Vince McMahon has left the building in disgust as the Big Boss Man attacked Test with his nightstick. This brought Paul Wight down from the backstage area (where he was going) to chase the Big Boss Man out of the ring.
•The Rock/Steve Austin/Shane McMahon Confrontation.
-The Rock explained that he is not buddies or friends with Steve Austin so they are not true teammates. He then went on to say how he will beat both the Undertaker and Triple H. This brought Steve Austin down who mostly did a rant on the Rock. This brought out Shane McMahon who said that his plan is working perfectly because they both hate each other. This then brought out the Undertaker who stood directly next to Shane McMahon. Shane McMahon then said that he hopes they understand as the Ministry of Darkness and the Corporation joined him on the ramp. Shane McMahon then introduced the "Corporate Ministry" as Smackdown! went to commercial.
•X-Pac/Kane Interview.
-Footage is shown of last Monday on Raw is War as Kevin Kelly asks if X-Pac's loyalty is torn towards Kane. X-Pac told Kane that if he likes it unpredictable that is what he is going to get. Kane then shoved Kevin Kelly out of the way.
•D'Lo Brown defeated Droz
(Disqualification)
-D'Lo and Droz both had an equal share of the upper hand in the match with D'Lo hitting the Sky High and missing many high-flying maneuvers. To end the match, Prince Albert interrupted as he threw D'Lo Brown from the top rope onto the mat as Ivory ran backstage quickly. Prince Albert then brought out a foot long needle to pierce D'Lo Brown's tongue with as Mark Henry ran out form the back to save D'Lo. Both men had a nice hug in the middle of the ring as Ivory joined them.
•Footage of Sable's fame is shown in clips form the talk shows she was on and the shows she has guest starred in.
•New Age Outlaws Interview.
-Jesse James is shown explaining that the match will be hard because X-Pac is a close friend. Billy Gunn reminded him that this is for the titles and friends do not matter.
•X-Pac/Kane pinned New Age Outlaws
*Tag Team Championship*
-Jesse James did his usual opening, but Billy Gunn wouldn't because this match for him was all business. At one point, X-Pac was ready to continue, but Kane pulled him into the corner for a tag. After Kane dominated against Billy Gunn, X-Pac tried to pull him in for a tag and it worked. Kane later began to choke the Road Dog as all four men were in the ring. By accident, he grabbed X-Pac as well but let go due to a kick by Billy Gunn. As the Road Dog hit a low blow on Kane, Billy Gunn hit the famouser making X-Pac jump in for the two-count. X-Pac then collapsed on Billy Gunn, who had him in a press, for the pin. X-Pac and Kane then walked out separately.
•Steve Austin is shown in the backstage area lacing his boots and getting ready for his match.
•The New Age Outlaws are shown in the parking lot arguing as WWF security comes to break them up.
•The Brood Interview.
-Dok Hendrix interviewed the Brood for their first interview ever. Gangrel began speaking by saying that the Undertaker helped guide them in the right direction but they did have different beliefs. Dok asks what their lifestyle is and why some think they are off the charts. Edge explains that they will understand because understanding will come within a matter of time. He called them the "unholy trio" and explained that they will become what they will become. He told Dok to beware and take care because the freaks come out at night. Dok then took the microphone and asked what they were smoking because he thinks it is just a gimmick. Gangrel responded by calling him Michael as he received a blood bath in the ring.
•Billy Gunn is shown in the backstage area looking for X-Pac.
•Ken Shamrock Interview.
-Michael Cole went over some of Shamrock's problems with the Acolytes. Shamrock then ranted on Bradshaw and how he would defeat him by breaking his spirit.
•Ken Shamrock versus Bradshaw
*Street Fight*
-As Bradshaw was making his way to the ring with a baseball bat, Ken Shamrock attacked him from behind. In the ring, he quickly went for a cross leg breaker which Bradshaw had a terrible time getting out of. Bradshaw used the baseball bat first to Shamrock's gut, but Shamrock quickly took it away with a few nice shots on Bradshaw. To win the match, Shamrock used the baseball bat to choke-out Bradshaw. After the bell rang, Shamrock would not release the bat as it took four referees and some WWF officials to stop him. Sgt. Slaughter was one of the WWF officials to help as Shamrock began to beat on him with the baseball bat in the corner.
•Mankind Interview.
-Mankind basically ranted on the Big Boss Man as he explained his attire. Billy Gunn is heard looking for X-Pac and Mankind called him a whiner.
•Mankind defeated Big Boss Man
(Submission)
-As early on in the match Mankind threw the Big Boss Man to the outside, Test ran down to quickly throw him back in. After the Bossman got thrown out a second time, Paul Wight threw him back in to receive a mandible claw from Mankind.
•In the locker room, Billy Gunn is shown attacking X-Pac. Kane quickly ran in and saved X-Pac as Billy ran out of the room. Steve Austin and the Rock are shown in the backstage area getting ready for their match.
•Steve Austin/The Rock versus Triple H/The Undertaker
-Although the Corporate Ministry has now been formed, Triple H and the Undertaker came to the ring separate. Before Austin's entrance, the Undertaker and Triple H pound on the Rock in the corner. Triple H is the first to meet Austin at the entrance way as Steve Austin dominates the fight. As the Rock and Steve Austin began their carnage on Triple H and the Undertaker, the whole Corporate Ministry ran into the ring to derail the upperhand. This brought out Paul Wight, Ken Shamrock, and Test to help as the Corporate Ministry and the rest of the wrestlers left the ring. Although the referee called for the bell, Triple H and the Rock began fighting into the crowd as Shane McMahon threw the Undertaker a chair in the middle of the ring. Vince McMahon then ran down and knocked out his son as he recieved a chair shot from the Undertaker to save Steve Austin from getting one. The Undertaker then stood over Vince McMahon as Steve Austin turned him around and stunned him. This brought Shane McMahon into the ring who began to punch his father in the head. Steve Austin then flipped him the finger and gave him a stunner as he began to taunt him. Austin celebrated with a few Steveweisers as Shane McMahon began to get up and out of the ring. Steve Austin was shown pouring beer onto Vince McMahon's face as he continued to celebrate as Smackdown! went off the air.
