AEW presented its first pay-per-view event, Revolution, of 2022 and it was successful for the promotion. Dave Meltzer mentioned during today’s Wrestling Observer Radio that the early numbers he has seen show it did between 146,000-170,000 PPV buys.
“The streaming number was 110,000, which is a combination of Bleacher Report and FITE. So the only number we don’t have is the cable number and the cable numbers I have seen have varied.”
He noted that the satellite numbers he has seen are not very good, but a number from one of the major cable providers is very good.
Meltzer later added, “at a low point, it would be 146,000. It could be as high as 165,000-170,000 depending on how well the traditional pay-per-view numbers go. So it’s likely going to be the second biggest in history, it might be the third biggest, It will beat last year.”
