In questi casi ci sono vari fattori da tenere in considerazione.
Sicuramente quelli della Warner si saranno studiati alla perfezione il progetto e ci devono aver visto un alto margine di riuscita. Stanno tentando di fare un investimento importante che possa funzionare anche sul lungo termine. Alla fine se riescono a mettere realmente in crisi un colosso come la WWE, possono costruirsi un futuro stabile con molte superstars che potrebbero decidere seriamente di preferire una federazione nuova che garantisce una buona stabilità economica e anche una realizzazione professionale rispetto alla WWE dove tutto ciò non è garantita se non a pochi eletti.
Partire col botto mi sembra la scelta più giusta per far capire che non scherzano, cosa che secondo me a Stamford si aspettano. Si staranno convincendo del fatto che potranno avere clamore iniziale per la novità e poi perdere sul lungo termine, quando invece dovrebbero convincersi che se continuano a non scrivere un cavolo e a tenere fermi atleti scontenti, rischiano seriamente di mettersi contro una federazione che ha voglia di far rinascere la disciplina in uno dei momenti più bui della sua storia.

Syuri avrebbe gestito la REINA dopo la scissione con la WNC fino al 2016. Probabilmente è il periodo di più visibilità, hai gli esordi di Konami, il push di Makoto, lo stint della Narumiya, il ritiro della Deeb, ma non si esce mai dallo status di serie b del joshi, pur con tutti i nomi coinvolti anche internazionali.
Esiste anche un Syuri Festival a cui diedi un'occhiata ma che era brutto forte, soprattutto nel comedy (I Black Jujidan ), tant'è che a memoria non ha più inserito il suo nome nel titolo di un evento
Grassie, il Syuri Festival mi dice qualcosa anche, o forse ne avevo letto a riguardo da qualche parte...Sarei curioso di vederlo, specie se degenera forte

Ho sicuramente molto più hype per l'inizio dello show settimanale che per questi eventi che ci saranno prima che al momento non mi dicono granchè.

Michele Posa dice che la soglia che si aspetta per dichiarare la AEW un successo sarà un eventuale rating di 1.1 mln visto che è la cifra di spettatori che in media fa TNT nel primetime (la AEW sarà nel primetime di martedì o di mercoledì pare)

Immagino che non sappia che la quota che interessa siano i 18-35.
Che se anche fanno 700mila spettatori, ma sono tutti in quella fascia hanno inserzionisti a palate e TNT è contenta.

L'opinione di Posa conta come il due di coppe con briscola spade.
Credo sia più importante vedere gli ascolti sul medio-lungo periodo una volta esaurito l'effetto novità per vedere l'effettiva reach che ha la compagnia.

Peraltro leggo che l'accordo è ottimo, praticamente TNT gli paga i costi di produzione (cosa che la WWE fino a qualche anno fa non aveva per dire)

Here’s more information on AEW’s TV deal with TNT, via the Wrestling Observer Newsletter:
Money
TNT will not be paying direct money for the right to broadcast AEW, but they will be paying the production costs for the show. WWE pays for its own production. The downside of that is obviously the cost, but the upside is that WWE has more control over the product and their production budget.
AEW will also be getting a “great” split of the advertising money for the show, according to NFL reporter John McMullen, who also called the deal “unprecedented for a start-up” and said that people in AEW are “ecstatic” about it.
This will mean that AEW will likely try to do an advertiser-friendly show. They’ve talked a lot about being more sports-centric and less “soapy.”
AEW will also make money from PPV buys.
The belief within AEW is that this deal will allow them to already be profitable by 2020, according to Dave Meltzer.
Other Network Negotiations
It had been reported that AEW was negotiating with more than one network. The other main network was Showtime, which would have been interesting. If they went that route, it would not have been a weekly show, but instead a live special every few weeks. TNT obviously gives them way more exposure, since it’s on basic cable and not a premium subscription channel.
Ratings
TNT averaged 1,171,000 viewers in prime time in 2018, according to the Observer.
But AEW may not need to average that many viewers in order to be considered a success, since it will also generate revenue for Warner’s other media platforms like their B/R Live streaming service.
Day of the Week
The day of the week for the show has not yet been announced, but rumors are that it will be either Tuesday or Wednesday nights, probably from 8-10 PM ET.
The upside of Tuesday is that fans would be used to watching wrestling on Tuesday nights already (SmackDown will be on Fridays when AEW debuts), but the downside is that TNT has TV commitments with the NBA to air Tuesday night games, so the show may be preempted often.
The day of the week will likely be decided within the next month or so.
The show will likely debut in early October.
International TV Deals
AEW is also in negotiations with networks to air the show in the UK and Canada, Australia and Mexico (and other countries in the future, it would be safe to assume).
In the UK, they’re in talks with ITV, which will be broadcasting Double or Nothing.
International deals can’t be finalized until the day of the week is decided, according to the Observer.

Probabile che sarà cosi' dato che già Sky in Inghilterra ha perso la WWE.

Ha ragione chi dice che valutare il successo della AEW raffrontandolo con l'apice della TNA (che poi non mi pare abbia fatto 1,1 milioni di spettatori per chissà quanto tempo) è riduttivo e limitato tanto quanto chi propone questo metro di giudizio. Il successo "televisivo" si basa anche sulla risposta degli spettatori e della critica di settore; soprattutto, poi, conta quanto si è in grado di soddisfare le aspettative della rete televisiva. E noi queste aspettative non le conosciamo, per adesso.
Ah, in tutto ciò se fosse vera la voce per cui la AEW potrebbe iniziare a fare profitto già nel 2020 sarebbe un altro elemento importantissimo.

Tna da quanto so ha sempre perso soldi grosso modo (ma non sono serrato sull'argomento, quindi potrei dire una stupidaggine).
Ma in generale anche il raffronto con la TNA secondo me non è così calzante, qui si parla di contenuti anche per la piattaforma digitale della Warner. In generale il panorama televisivo è cambiato. 1,1 oggi vale più di quando li faceva la TNA nel 2009-10
