~ 1st successful title defense.

(2) Special 6 Man Tag Match: Hiroyoshi Tenzan, Satoshi Kojima & Tomoaki Honma vs. Jeff Jarrett, Bad Luck Fale & Yujiro Takahashi
◆Winner: Honma (5:35) following the Kokeshi (Diving Headbutt) on Yujiro.
[Great to see Honma get the much needed win on the big stage.]

(3) Toru Yano, Naomichi Marufuji [NOAH], Mikey Nicholls [NOAH] & Shane Haste [NOAH] vs. Takashi Iizuka, Shelton “X” Benjamin, Lance Archer & Davey Boy Smith Jr.
◆Winner: Marufuji (5:05) following the Ko-oh (Tiger Uppercut Knee) on Iizuka.
[Great to hear Maru’s theme in the Dome, love it.]

(4) Special Single Match ~ Complete Conclusion Rules: Kazushi Sakuraba [FREE] vs. Minoru Suzuki [Pancrase MISSION]
~ No pin fall. Only KO, TKO, submission, or referee can stop the match.
◆Winner: Suzuki (9:21) with a Rear Naked Choke.
~ Respect was shown between the two after the match while the UWF theme played in the arena.
[Solid encounter, plenty of tension. Though Suzuki might have injured his left arm in the match, we’ll see what happens there.]

(5) NEVER Openweight Championship Match: [5th Champion] Tomohiro Ishii vs. [Challenger] Togi Makabe
◆Winner: Makabe (12:23) following the King Kong Knee Drop.
~ Champion falls on his 2nd title defense. Makabe becomes the 6th champion.
[An all out brawl between the two bulls, what I wanted to see. Loved it. I did not call Makabe win the match, but I am not opposed. Time to see something new.]

NJPW announced the big events for the first half of the year.

The next big show will be on February 11th “THE NEW BEGINNING in OSAKA” at the BODYMAKER COLOSSEUM in Osaka. Which will then be followed by “THE NEW BEGINNING in SENDAI” at the Sendai Sun Plaza Hall in Miyagi.

The opening of the “NEW JAPAN CUP 2015” will be on March 5th at the Ota Ward General Gymnasium in Tokyo. With the finals to be held on March 15th at the Hiroshima Sun Plaza Hall.

"INVASION ATTACK 2015" will be on April 5th at the Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo.

April 29th will see a show held at the Grand Messe Kumamoto.

"Wrestling Dontaku 2015" will be held on May 3rd at the Fukuoka Kokusai Center.

In May it was announced that NJPW will be once more working in conjuction with Ring of Honor.

DOMINION will be taking place on July 5th this year. “DOMINION 7.5” at the Osaka Castle Hall

The opening event of this years G1 CLIMAX [G1 CLIMAX 25] will take place on July 20th at Hokkaido Prefectural Sports Center, Hokkai Kitaeru.

Then the final part of this years G1 CLIMAX will be held at the Ryogoku Kokugikan on August 14th, 15th, and then the final event on 16th.

(6) IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship Match: [69th Champion] Ryusuke Taguchi vs. [Challenger] Kenny Omega
◆Winner: Omega (13:20) with the Katayoku no Tenshi (One-Winged Angel).
~ Champion falls on his 3rd title defense. Omega becomes the 70th generation champion.

(7) IWGP Tag Championship Match: [64th Champions] Karl Anderson & Doc Gallows vs. [Challengers / WTL 2014 Winners] Hirooki Goto & Katsuyori Shibata
◆Winner: Shibata (9:00) following the PK on Gallows.
~ Champions fall on their 7th title defense. Goto & Shibata become the 65th generation champions.
[Finally Goto & Shibata claim the IWGP Tag belts. Much deserved after building themselves up over the last year.]

(8) Special Single Match: Tetsuya Naito vs. AJ Styles
◆Winner: Styles (14:25) following a Top-rope Styles Clash.

(9) IWGP Intercontinental Championship Match: [10th Champion] Shinsuke Nakamura vs. [Challenger] Kota Ibushi
◆Winner: Nakamura (20:12) following a Boma Ye.
~ 2nd successful title defense.
~ Nakamura put over Ibushi following a highly physical match between the two.

(10) IWGP Heavyweight Championship Match: [61st Champion] Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. [Challenger / G1 CLIMAX 24 Winner] Kazuchika Okada
◆Winner: Tanahashi (30:57) with the High Fly Flow.
~ 1st successful title defense.
~ Okada left the ring in tears after the match.
~ Tanahashi thanked all the fans for watching the show today, and that New Japan Pro-Wrestling will continue to evolve and grow in 2015.

[A great show all around. Every match offered something different and I really have no complaints when it came to the competition side of things. Outcomes maybe, but that is expected. A recommend that you try and catch the replay on PPV later today or even on NJPW depending on your preference.]

Esperienza incredibile, troppa gente e spettacolo eccezionale.
Forse mi aspettavo qualcosa di più qualitativamente dai match, comunque sono stati tutti gradevoli (quelli che dovevano esserlo) e brevi ed indolori gli altri.

Oltre al match d'apertura che ho visto in diretta, mi sono recuperato il ME, il secondo, il terzo e il quarto incontro. Il ME è da vedere assolutamente, gran bell'incontro che acquista un ritmo importante ben prima della metà della contesa; ero convinto che vincesse Okada, mi ha sorpreso la conferma del campione.
Il match a sei uomini e quello a quattro sono brevi, nulla di che (mi ha fatto piacere rivedere JJ e Benjamin); molto particolare e interessante l'incontro tra Sakuraba e Suzuki, qualcosa di diverso.
Domani mi recupererò il resto di questo ottimo evento.

Mi sono appena visto lo show commentato in inglese da Jim Ross e Matt Striker (che tra l'altro hanno fatto un commento molto piatto e noioso)
Da segnalare c'è solo il Nakamura/Ibushi che è stato un bel match (direi da 8 pieno) e il Tanahashi/Okada, che non è stato il miglior match della serie, ma probabilmente lo è stato dello show. Forse darei un 9, ma prima lo voglio rivedere con il commento giapponese
