***UPDATE ON KAZUCHIKA OKADA'S NJPW CONTRACT***

#KazuchikaOkada has been one of the best wrestlers on the planet for nearly a decade now. The #NJPW ace has held multiple IWGP World Championships. He even holds the record for the longest single reign and total time as IWGP Heavyweight Champion.

That is not forgetting his multiple #WrestleKingdom main events as well as three G1 Climax wins.

However, Okada might be starting to feel like his time in Japan is over as he's done pretty much everything one can do there. This is why there is some belief that he might be headed to an American promotion soon.

OKADA's NJPW CONTRACT EXPIRATION:

We now know that Okada's current deal with New Japan is set to expire at the end of January 2024. Meaning by February he could potentially sign with a new company.

Some are under the belief that Okada does not want to leave Japan full-time, as it would keep him from several friends and family members. This is why many believe that #AEW might be the frontrunner for his services.

He could still work with NJPW, even live in Japan. He would just need to make the trek to AEW shows each week.

Others believe that living in Japan and still working off and on with New Japan might not be something Okada is interested in. Otherwise, he'd just sign a new deal to stay with NJPW.

WWE COULD SIGN HIM:

Okada has visited #WWE many times over the years, even being spotted backstage at a #WWERAW taping about a year ago. Of course, New Japan did not have an issue with this as he was merely there to see good friends of his.

Of course, #TripleH has been wanting to sign the Japanese sensation for many years now. "The Game" is said to be a massive fan of The Rainmaker, which means Okada would likely be given a massive push the moment he signs.

Considering Triple H runs the entire creative side of WWE, there is a solid chance someone like Okada would be willing to make the jump from NJPW. He would likely feel like his future in WWE would be relatively solid. It is also said that Okada wants to work a #WrestleMania match, which could only ever happen in WWE.

This is why most fans are under the assumption that if Okada does decide to leave NJPW, it would only be to sign with WWE. Even if AEW offers him double what he made on his last NJPW deal.

Let's not overlook that WWE would also break the bank to get Okada due to how much Triple H wants to sign him.
