Alberto El Patron has suffered a quad injury. He worked over the weekend for Northeast Wrestling in a reduced capacity and has been told by doctors to take some time off.

It's no secret that WWE has been looking for a top Hispanic singles star to sign. Carlito's name has came up recently but another name that has been talked about several times in the past few weeks is current AAA Mega Champion Alberto Del Rio (Alberto El Patron).
We don't know if this means the two sides have had recent talks but there is definitely interest within WWE on bringing Del Rio back. There have been ideas discussed recently that could potentially involve him.
With the second season of Lucha Underground now confirmed, a WWE return for Patron seems unlikely but stranger things have happened.

In WWE era di una noia normale, che resti in AAA dove è un top name assoluto ed è nel suo contesto naturale.

Fino al feud con Christian il suo stint è stato ottimo poi tra sovraesposizione e alcune mancanze era diventato solo bello da vedere ma brutto da seguire perché comunque è un worker delizioso.

Del Rio a me è sempre piaciuto, però la sua gestione dal post WrestleMania 27 fino al suo abbandono (TRE ANNI!!) è stata sbagliata e a tratti tremenda, soprattutto dopo quel famigerato turn nel dicembre del 2012; da lì in poi c'è stato un declino sempre più evidente, nonostante i due regni da campione del mondo, che hanno avuto un solo momento interessante, ovvero la rivalità con Dolph Ziggler e in particolare il loro match a Payback 2013, un gioiellino da ricordare (occasione sprecata, invece, fu la ripresa della faida con Christian nell'estate del 2013, nonostante abbiano disputato match molto piacevoli in PPV e non solo); per questa sua scellerata gestione cominciò ad annoiarmi, il suo personaggio, non lui, perché comunque sul ring riusciva a coinvolgermi bene o male sempre, perciò non è che mi disperai più di tanto all'idea di non vederlo più; però nei mesi successivi al suo abbandono ho cominciato a sentirne la mancanza, soprattutto quando l'ho rivisto a Lucha Underground e in qualche show della AAA.
Dunque, o ritorna e lo trattano BENE, oppure è meglio che non ritorni e rimanga dove è ora. Detto ciò, dubito che lo rivedremo.
