Impact Wrestling taping results for 6/30/11:

*Hulk Hogan and Mr. Anderson were out to start the show. They cut a promo but are then interrupted by Sting, who is sporting some make-up inspired by Heath Ledger's "Joker". Sting hits Hogan with his baseball bat.

*Samoa Joe def. Devon

*Low Ki def. Matt Bentley & Jimmy Yang in an X-Division Tournament Match

*British Invasion challenge Mexican America for a match sometime in the future

*Mickie James, Miss Tessmacher & Tara def. Madison Rayne, Winter & Angelina Love

*The contract signing for AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels is up. Rob Van Dam and Jerry Lynn come out and a tag match is set up for next week.

*Sting def. Scott Steiner. After the match Mr. Anderson and Hulk Hogan attack. Kurt Angle makes the save.

Spero che anche i prossimi tre sianno X-Divisioners del passato, il match tra i novizi della settimana scorsa è stato veramente insipido.

* The show starts out with Bully Ray, Gunner and Scott Steiner coming to the ring. Bully Ray tells Mr. Anderson to get out here. Mr. Anderson joins Immortal in the ring. Ray says Anderson needs to figure things out and make up his mind. He can have the full backing of Immortal and keep his title but he needs to make up his mind tonight by the end of the main event. Steiner gets in his face and says he's either with them or against them. Gunner talks but it's boring and the crowd is not with him at all.

* The lights go out and focus on Sting on the catwalk. He let's out a yell and Kurt Angle takes the opportunity to sneak in the ring and deliver Angle Slams to Gunner and Steiner. Bully Ray sneaks off before he can take one. Angle tells Anderson he needs to decide if he's on their side as well and figure it out tonight.

* In a Bound for Glory Series Match, Crimson vs. Robert Roode. Winner via Sky High, Crimson

* Backstage, Abyss is frantically looking for his mask. He holds a backstage guy up to the wall and demands the mask. In another room, Brian Kendrick is shown meditating in his robe, only to lift his hood and show that he's wearing Abyss' mask.

* We cut back to the ring and Kendrick comes out in street clothes holding the mask. He tells Abyss to come out and collect his mask. Kendrick once again goes off spouting philosophical points and making very little sense. The crowd is dead and is not behind him. Abyss comes out with a towel over his head covering his face. Kendrick talks some more about philosophy and energy fields and the usual and gives Abyss his mask back.

* Abyss puts on the mask and then destroys Kendrick, knocking him down and hitting a black hole slam. He goes for more punishment but Generation Me, Amazing Red and Alex Shelley come out to stop him.

* Three Way Destination X Qualifier, Jesse Sorrenson vs. Tony Nees vs. Jack Evans. Winner via 630 Splash, Jack Evans. Sorrenson is a local wrestler who is in a tag team called Hunks in Trunks and goes by Ryan Sorrenson.

* Sting is laying on top of some lockers and is singing "Eye of the Tiger" by Survivor to himself but replacing words with "Immortal." Kurt Angle walks in and says he doesn't know if he can trust Sting tonight because he's gone crazy. Sting is Joker crazy and says he can trust him and then goes back to singing.

* Knockouts Handicap Match, ODB & Jackie vs. Velvet Sky. Winner via DDT to Jackie, Velvet Sky. ODB and Jackie tried to use a chair on Velvet but she turned the tables and dropkicked it into ODB and hit a DDT to Jackie.

* Jerry Lynn vs. Christopher Daniels vs. AJ Styles vs. Rob Van Dam. Winner via 5 Star Frog Splash to Daniels, Rob Van Dam.

* Bound for Glory Series Match, Matt Morgan & James Storm vs. Devon & "The Pope" D'Angelo Dinero. Winners via belt shot to Storm by Pope with Devon getting the pin, Pope & Devon. Devon and Pope don't get along during the match and at multiple times Pope left the ring to seek comfort from Devon's family. Pope used the belt when the referee wasn't looking and tagged in Devon so he could get the points in the Bound for Glory series.

* Backstage, Hulk Hogan is shown beating up Sting. Every punch he throws, Sting just laughs at him and asks for more. Then Sting's eyes grow wide and he says "Oh no" to which Hulk Hogan then knocks him out with a baseball bat.

* Kurt Angle vs. Gunner, Bully Ray, Abyss and Scott Steiner. Sting was supposed to be Angle's partner but Hulk Hogan took him out with a bat in the back. Winner via Mic Check from Mr. Anderson to Kurt Angle, Immortal. Anderson made it seem like he was on Angle's side but turned on him. Anderson jumped into Abyss's arms after the match and celebrated with Immortal.

Spero che quella di Anderson sia una cosa dettata dalla mera convenienza.

Ma in TNA hanno una memoria cortissima?

Un paio di mesi fa Mr.Anderson finge di allearsi con gli Immortal durante una puntata di Impact e pochi minuti dopo li beffa e li attacca. Ora, così dal nulla, entra nella stable?

Più o meno nello stesso periodo Scott Steiner rientra nel mondo del wrestling (da cui si era ritirato definitivamente) per aiutare lo stesso Anderson e Kurt Angle contro gli Immortal. E adesso anche Big Poppa Pump è dentro alla stable come se nulla fosse.

E parlando appunto degli Immortal, ormai il 90% del roster TNA è stato dentro sta stable. Ok ci stanno un po' di cambiamenti (per storyline come i Fortune, oppure per motivi extr-ring come i fratelli Hardy) ma all'interno degli Immortal ci sono stati finora:
Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy, AJ Styles, Kazarian, Robert Roode, James Storm, Matt Morgan, Douglas Williams, Rob Terry, Murphy, Jeff Jarrett e (per un breve periodo) anche Chris Harris e Hernandez. Più gli attuali membri Abyss, Bully Ray, Gunner, Scott Steiner e ora pare anche Mr.Anderson.

Ah e poi Gunner? Schiena sia nella puntata precedente ad un PPV che nella puntata post PPV il campione del mondo e considerando anche che ha Hogan e Bischoff dalla sua parte, non ha nemmeno uno straccio di match titolato anche a + uomini (Anderson VS Gunner VS Sting che è comunque l'ex campione nella puntata di domani o di giovedì prossimo era un pessimo Main Event?).

Mah, spero solo che quella di Anderson sia una nuova finta che stavolta durerà + a lungo...

Dura fino al 14 luglio secondo me la sua finta. Batte Sting grazie al supporto degli Immortal e poi nuovamente torna tweener. Perchè Anderson con gli Immortal perde davvero fascino... Forse è entrato per volere della federazione perchè vogliono far fuori Hardy, ma è un autogol.

Dark Match

1. Eric Young and a partner defeated Robbie E and a partner (couldn't hear his name). Eric Young pinned Robbie's partner. This match was so horrible it was hard to watch.

TNA Impact Taping

Immortal held a party for Mr. Anderson, who had on a nice camouflage tuxedo by the way. It was general ass kissing all around until the lights went out. Sting appeared in the ring at a poker table and asked Eric Bischoff if he wanted to bet who would walk out with the title tonight. Sting did his Joker laugh and pointed out that he had "friends" tonight that would make sure Immortal didn't screw him. Four Doink the Clown look-alikes appeared in the rafters and Sting flipped the table and got out of the ring

1. Bobby Roode defeated Samoa Joe and The Pope in a Bound For Glory Series match. Good action. Joe kept getting knocked out of the ring and he almost won with the rear naked choke on Bobby Roode, but his shoulders were on the mat and Hebner counted him down for the pin before Roode tapped out... he then argued with Hebner and flipped off the crowd.

2. Austin Aries defeated Shannon Moore. There were a couple of bad missed spots, but it was an otherwise exciting match. Austin Aries has a lot of potential and does a great job in the ring. However, he does this move where he acts like a cat and scratches his opponent, very weird... Aries hit Moore with the chain from the Book of DILLIGAF to score the pinfall. Alex Shelley then came out to check on Moore and helped him out of the ring.

3. Tara defeated Madison Rayne. Tara brought out a present for Madison and sat it in the corner of the ring. It was kind of a normal Knockout match. Rayne threw Tara into the steps and snuck into the ring and opened the present. It was... a tarantula! She got scared and Tara hit the Widow's Peak for the win, then chased Madison all the way to the back holding the tarantula.

Kurt Angle cut a promo about his No. 1 contender status, and his upcoming TNA Title match at Hardcore Justice. He said he's going to kick Anderson's ass whether it is for the championship or not, and he hopes Sting wins so they can finish what they started in some previous match (couldn't understand him) since he has never beaten Sting. He talked about the Main Event Mafia some as well.

4. Mexican America defeated The British Invasion to become No. 1 contenders to the TNA Tag Titles. Mexican America won when Rosita distracted the ref and they cheated. Big surprise ending there. The entire match was pretty crappy. Hernandez ended up interfering and Anarquia pinned Magnus.

5. Sting defeated Mr. Anderson to win the TNA Title. Pretty entertaining match overall. Mr. Anderson put Sting in a Scorpion Death Lock, Sting hit the Mic Check on Anderson, and referee got knocked out of the ring, as usual in TNA. Bully Ray came down and interfered. The lights went out and one of the clowns was in the ring. The clown proceeded to hit Ray and Anderson with the bat. The lights went out and the clown disappeared. Ray was nowhere to be found, and Sting hit the Scorpion Death Drop on Anderson. The ref crawled back in the ring and counted to three!!! New TNA or Impact Wrestling Heavyweight Champion is Sting! Wow, on an Impact taping... Sting celebrated for a few minutes on the ring and then Impact was over.

TNA Xplosion Taping

1. Alex Shelley beat The Pope in an Xplosion Championship Challenge. I feel like I should expect better from these two. This match was flat and the crowd didn't care. Devon came out after Pope was talking to his kids and watched the rest of the match. Shelley beat Pope via clean pinfall, then came back in the ring and shook his hand. Apparently Pope is making a face turn, as he is kissing everyone's ass lately. Anyway, that was the anticlimactic finish.

Si, ma direi che ora un po' esagerano. Troppo troppo overbooking.
Che poi ci può stare la rivittoria di Sting... Ma i clown? Seriamente... E poi ammazzi la credibilità di Anderson così.
Comunque, match a 3 al prossimo ppv.
