The Rock posted a lengthy video on Social Media explaining his Road to WrestleMania 40.

Rock said Roman Reigns specifically called himself "The Head of the Table" in 2020 so it would result in The Tribal Chief vs. The Great One in the future at WrestleMania.

On the January 1st edition of RAW, Rock returned and teased facing Reigns at WrestleMania 40. After Cody Rhodes won the 2024 Men's Royal Rumble match, Rock revealed he had a conversation with Cody and explained how he should be the one to face Reigns at WrestleMania, as Rock vs. Reigns is the biggest money match possible and will take the wrestling business to new heights.

Cody agreed and decided to let Rock face Reigns by saying the following:

"Rock, it stings, but I agree. It stings, but I'm a team player. It stings, but I want what's best for the business."

The Rock said Cody could finish his story at a later date with all due respect, but Rock vs. Reigns needs to happen, and they need to do it for Dusty Rhodes and for Rocky Johnson.

The People's Champion then addressed the SmackDown segment on February 2, when Cody introduced Rock as Roman's WrestleMania XL opponent.

Rock said Cody made a face during that segment as if he ran over his "goofy a$$ dog".

Cody met Rock backstage at the WrestleMania Kickoff Press Conference in Las Vegas, but didn't tell him anything about changing his mind, and then turned his back on The Rock after

Rock laid out the entire plan and showed The Bloodline's family tree.

The Rock said he doesn't regret slapping Cody for disrespecting his family and will do it again.

Per logica, se volessero proporre la storyline "Cody e Rock erano d'accordo sin dall'inizio", Seth e Cody dovrebbero vincere il tag team. Ma non accadrà, perché chiaramente Cody dovrà arrivare alla vittoria da svantaggiato, nel peggior scenario possibile a suo sfavore. Quindi, sempre se la WWE voglia far turnare Rock su Reigns (e fargli costare il titolo) dovranno inventarsi qualcosa che non sia esageratamente cervellotica. Ad esempio, nel tag team della prima serata, Reigns colpisce con la spear Rock per sbaglio, ma neanche troppo (ok, per sbaglio, ma magari si potrebbe enfatizzare il fatto che tutto sommato quasi gli abbia fatto piacere averlo colpito) e poi fare in modo che la sera successiva, in un'overdose di overbooking, Rock gli renda pan per focaccia.

Che brutta la motivazione, che poi on screen fino a due secondi prima mica ci pensava a quello che era best for business.

Vabbè, a sto punto una motivazione vale l'altra, tanto quel segmento lì rimarrebbe una merda comunque e l'importante è che facciano quello che devono.

Il vero problema ora rimane Seth che è turnato suo bff ed è disposto a combattere due sere di fila per non si capisce che pro, dopo essere tornato da un infortunio e con un match molto tosto la sera dopo.
Ma anche lì, a sto punto mi faccio andare qualunque cosa purché portino Cody al trionfo e facciano finire sto polpettone della Bloodline una volta per tutte.

ma infatti dal lato Rocky come motivazione in questo momento ci sa, bisognerebbe sentire anche la versione di Cody, ma forse non l'avremo fino a WM quando si scoprirà se i 2 sono d'accordo e stanno facendo il doppio gioco o meno
