All the talking points from last night's Tony Khan PPV Media Call.
AEW projects big things in 2025!
Tony Khan took part in a media call on Thursday to promote Sunday's AEW Revolution pay-per-view.
Khan was asked by our own Dave Meltzer about his economic projections for the company in 2024. The AEW president responded that one area for potential growth is increasing the number of pay-per-view events they run a year
“I can see this year being 9-10 (PPV events) and I think nine is probably the sweet spot,” Khan said, also noting that he runs three ROH PPVs annually as well.
AEW added a fifth PPV, Forbidden Door, in 2022. The company then expanded to eight PPVs in 2023 with the additions of WrestleDream, All In, and Worlds End.
Fightful reported earlier this week that AEW has filed to trademark "AEW Dynasty" as a possible PPV name.
Khan also remarked that his company is looking at "huge increases" for its media rights deals in 2025, saying it “will put us over the top in many ways." He said in 2025 they will have gone from "startup company" to "established challenger," which was always his five-year plan.
Brandon Thurston asked about AEW's disciplinary committee and their qualifications for dealing with sexual misconduct claims. Khan responded that they have two attorneys and Bryan Danielson on the committee, and they've done their best to train them to handle all types of claims.
Meat Madness was "put on ice" as Miro and Keith Lee are both sidelined. He said they'll do the match in the future.
Khan referred to former NWA Women's Champion Kamille as "a great free agent" and said he respects her and enjoyed meeting her.
He said Samoa Joe is the best champion you could ask for.
Khan praised Daniel Garcia, saying he could be a great champion in any company and has improved consistently.
The newly hired Jennifer Pepperman has been at the last couple of shows. She is not limited to just one story creatively and is contributing to the overall product. Says she is fitting in nicely.
He teased "something exciting" for fans going to the show in Atlanta on March 6.
Khan said Sting is always welcome in AEW and hopes he will remain involved with the company.

Esattamente.

Re: All Elite Wrestling - Official Thread
Between injuries and uncooperative talent that complain about their creative, frustrations are growing in the AEW Locker Room, according to Bryan Alvarez.
Alvarez also says there are some talent who feel as tho there is very little communication.
They aren't being told about their creative plans, matches or creative chages until the day of an event.
"There's very little communication. I've been hearing about this for months, people are very frustrated.
They show up, 'Here's what you're gonna do'. Lots of people will complain and it gets changed which is also a big problem I hear about all the time. People don't want to do something and Tony doesn't make them do it. There's a lot of this...
..I hear about this every single day. Trying to put together these shows is just a whirlwind of 'Will this person do this? They don't want you? What can we do? Will you do it?'."
"There's a lot, a lot, a lot, of frustration. There's also injuries that he deals with and no there's not shows put together a week in advance or two weeks in advance. The days of long-term booking, they're gone,"
"He has an idea. I'm sure he had a card for the pay-per-view but as far as week to week how they get there, every week is like what are we going to do this week? He wants to do things but people don't want to go along with it, people are hurt. Whatever."

Re: All Elite Wrestling - Official Thread
Ma no dai, Tony Khan on screen anche no. Sarebbe peggio di Dixie Carter.
Re: All Elite Wrestling - Official Thread
