Eric Bischoff had some bold words in regards to CM Punk’s return to #WWE

While speaking on Strictly Business, Eric Bischoff - an avid critic of Punk’s time in #AEW - described Punk’s return to WWE as a bonafide draw. While Bischoff won’t retract his previous comments about Punk, he claims that WWE, unlike AEW, are more likely to succeed in terms of capitalizing on the star power they’ve acquired.

“… the CM Punk that I saw when he first showed up in AEW, and the CM Punk I saw when he showed up in WWE. Two different people, two different shows, two different businesses. Two different approaches to the product. One would not draw a dime or increase television revenues — which was true. It was absolutely true and accurate. And one, as of right now, two different situations completely."

Elsewhere, Bischoff says that due to the nature of past controversies, WWE shouldn’t let their guard down just because of CM Punk’s status as the biggest topic of discussion in the wrestling world.
