Voto il worst, visto che i best li metto giorno per giorno nell’altro topic. Voto per quello che ho visto, quindi niente WWE o quasi.

WORST OF 2019

Worst wrestler: Nick Gage. Imbarazzante lo spazio che ha, soprattutto visto tutto il talento che lo circonda.
Worst tag team: Lucha Bros. Spotfest e taunt, taunt e spotfest. Orrendamente monodimensionali.
Worst match of the Year: Aussie Open vs CCK, RPW High Stakes. Peccato perchè i quattro sono talentuosi, ma questo match è imbarazzantissimo.
Worst main event: GCW 5150 Tribute To Homicide, Nick Gage vs Low Life Louie. Va beh, un disastro ferroviario.
Worst PPV / iPPV / Special Event: Qua è difficile, perchè se un evento non mi piace, lo droppo prima di arrivare alla fine. Vado con il Tournament Of Survival della GCW, mi aspettavo un capolavoro ed è stato una delusione totale.
Worst feud: Lucha Bros vs LAX. Un’infilata di spotfest tutti uguali.
Worst promotion: ROH, senza se e senza ma.
Worst turn:
Worst Diva: Molly McCoy. Spiace perchè si impegna ed è stata inserita in una storia importante, però non è ancora pronta.
Overrated wrestler of the year: Cody.
Underrated wrestler of the year: Jimmy Lloyd. Non si parla mai abbastanza di Lloyd. Perfetta incarnazione di tutto quello che è la GCW. Ma pure Ophidian ha fatto un’annata clamorosa passata nell’indifferenza.
Worst treatment of the year: Haskins in ROH
Worst gimmick: A me la roba dell’aliena della Stadtlander fa ribrezzo.
Most disappointing wrestler of the year: Rich Swann. Non ricordo mezza prestazione di livello.
Worst newcomer/rookie: Atticus Cogar in GCW. Inutile e irritante.
Worst comeback: Dan Maff in ROH. Simbolo della morte della ROH.
"You're Fired" of the year: ACH. Senza storia.
MEGALOL moment/segment of the year: Bodom botcha il kick out in RevPro e pesta l’arbitro, assistito da quell’altro coglione di Samuels.

Quest'anno mi trovo leggermente in difficoltà nell'indicare scelte precise, per cui penso che elencherò vari ex aequo, ma anche qualche non classificato.

Wrestler of the year
Difficile a dirsi, personalmente: Rollins ha avuto un buon ruolino, nonostante gli alti e i bassi, e si stava seriamente imponendo come top face della compagnia, prima dell'arresto, ingiustificato e prematuro, da parte di The Fiend. Jericho è tornato in auge grazie alla AEW e, nel 2019, continua a dare lezioni a tutto il mondo del Wrestling su come essere sempre sul pezzo e interessante. Ci sarebbe anche Omega, sempre al top, ma quest'anno, pausa compresa, ha giocato un pò un ruolo minore in attesa di future prospettive importanti nella nascente federazione. Moxley è troppo presto, a parte fuggire dalla WWE e un ottimo match contro Omega (e sì, una buona prova al Climax), non ha ancora fatto nulla di davvero importante. Quindi sì, un ex aequo fra Rollins e Y2J per me, anche se non sono davvero sicurissimo.

Tag Team of the year
Non classificato. Nessun tag team è stato davvero impressionante quest'anno.

Match of the year
Ancora una doppia premiazione: Omega vs. Tanahashi del Dome e la finale del Climax. La AEW non ha ancora messo su un classico e nemmeno un match che, quest'anno, si possa definire fondamentale o memorabile. Moxley vs. Omega è un bel match ma, nonostante gli entusiasmi, assolutamente non un MOTY. Posso provare un pò di simpatia verso Lesnar vs. Rollins di SS per la buona costruzione del match, per quanto standardizzata entro i canoni della WWE del Davide contro Golia, ma la WWE, per me, da tempo non mette in piedi un MOTYC o un classico. A me sembra che, da parte loro, non ci sia più nemmeno un reale interesse. Non seguo molto NXT e a mio avviso quelli non sono MOTYC.

Feud of the year
Bryan vs. Kingston per il build up sensato e ben congegnato. Per alcuni sarà un voto a cazzo, ma io non parlo di una perla, ma solo di un feud che ha avuto una reale progressione di senso e un finale concreto.

Face of the year
Ex aequo fra Rollins e Kingston. Quest'ultimo, per quanto controverso, è riuscito nell'intento di mandare over un match a Wrestlemania e, di questi tempi, è un pregio non da poco. in AEW una menzione speciale ad Allin.

Heel of the year
Mi butto anch'io su MJF che ha grandi potenzialità in questo senso. Moxley non è stato da meno, ma ne ha ancora di cose da fare. Ci sarebbe anche Jericho, ma questa volta preferisco essere più preciso e premiare il talento di MJF.

Rookie of the year
Non saprei.

Newcomer of the year
Moxley, direi.

Best female
Becky Lynch

Best in-ring performer
Rollins e Omega per una certa costanza. Il primo nonostante non abbia avuto grandi avversari. Una menzione speciale a Gresham che è il fiore all'occhiello di una ROH disastrata.

Best on mic
Anche qui un premio al talento di MJF.

Best gimmick
Non saprei, voto The Fiend per la simpatia ma secondo me, coi ritmi di adesso, termina in un ennesimo buco nell'acqua per Wyatt.

Worst wrestler: Baron Corbin, che poi non è il peggiore e che annoia tantissimo. So che sta venendo parecchio fischiato, ma uno dei motivi per cui non guardo praticamente più nulla a livello di show settimanali è la noia instantanea che mi risveglia.

Worst match of the year: Charlotte vs Lacey Evans a Raw, disastro ferroviario lungo 8 minuti
Worst main event: Fiend vs Rollins Hell in a Cell
Worst PPV / iPPV / Special Event: dovrei dire hell in a cell, ma almeno i primi due match sono belli, forse stomping ground è più piatto. Sinceramente fatico a ricordare i ppv secondari e cosa è successo al loro interno
Worst feud: Dovrei dire Corbin vs Rollins e o Fiend vs Rollins, ma in realtà non li ho seguito così tanto. Voto comunque il secondo perché ha contribuito ad ammazzare quello che da due anni stavano costruendo come top babyface.
Worst promotion: ROH? (non la seguo quindi non è un giudizio sul prodotto loro, ma la metto per le voci uscite dal backstage, e per il calo catastrofico che hanno avuto dopo il MSG)
Worst turn: Charlotte, che non si capisce quando ha turnato e in cosa
Worst Diva: Come bravura in ring, dovrei votare le due scagnozze di Shayna Baszler, ma alla fine sono lì da un annetto e molto probabilmente se non fossero le accompagnatrici/amiche di Shayna Baszler non sarebbero in tv. Però boh ci penso, forse è più giusto la Evans

Underrated wrestler of the year: se si parla di push non ricevuto fino a qualche settimana fa avrei votato le Kabuki Warrior, ma almeno sono state pushate negli ultimi mesi, vado con Kairi Sane solo, perché almeno Asuka ha battuto Becky lo scorso anno e con la Sane l'hanno fatta salire a far nulla per mesi
