Si, peccato che per motivi di budget faranno Bound For Glory ad Orlando. A questo punto aspettiamo il 2018 che dovrebbe essere l'anno della "svolta" in GFW: DEVONO fare 4 PPV on the road, meno tapings (con più episodi "LIVE") e più house show.

Finché rimangano su POP!, ci son pochi margini di crescita.
Un ritorno su Spike non lo escluderei, visto i buoni rapporti con JJ e minori costi (per il Network) di IMPACT! (e considerando l'attuale collaborazione con la Bellator come un potenziale ammiccamento). In caso contrario, la dimensione del prodotto rimane quella attuale.

PWinsider riporta che Low Ki ha lasciato la GFW

Numerous sources have confirmed to PWInsider.com that former X-Division champion Low Ki is gone from Global Force Wrestling, having departed over the course of this week's TV tapings.

There are several different accounts making the rounds. One version is that there it was a financial dispute that led to the departure. Another version (from sources within GFW) states that Ki was not happy with the creative for him going forward as the original plan for him leading into Bound for Glory was to be part of an Ultimate X match while he wanted to be in the GFW championship mix.

The one thing all accounts are in agreement with is that Ki made the decision to leave the company. He was not let go. A GFW source stated the departure was "amicable."

Ki was slated to face Alberto el Patron at last Thursday's Destination X, but that match was canceled due to Patron's suspension leading to him being stripped of the GFW championship. Ki will appear in the Gauntlet that headlines tomorrow's episode of Impact Wrestling that will crown the new champion.

Low Ki, 37, was the first Ring of Honor champion and has had numerous runs with TNA/GFW over the years as well as runs with WWE and New Japan Pro Wrestling, among others.

Sono inclusi nel match per i titoli di coppia contro Aerostar & Drago, Monster Clown & Murder Clown, e i campioni Dark Cuervo & Dark Scoria. Nei piani originali ci sarebbero dovuti essere i Wolves.

Ricordo che Rosemary combatterà per il titolo femminile contro Sexy Star, Lady Shani e Ayako Hamada, mentre Jarrett, Moose e Lashley parteciperanno al Torneo Triplemania che dovrebbe esser diventato una sfida tra una decina di trios (e non mi meraviglierei se lo vincessero, così da rilanciare la carriera di Jarrett con una cintura alla vita).

Durante i tapings la GFW ha annunciato che match e segmenti con atleti GFW che si svolgeranno durante AAA Triplemania, lo show della Crash e quello della Noah, andranno in onda durante gli episodi di Impact pre-Bound For Glory.

Quindi a quanto pare vedremo anche questi match ad Impact.
Voglio vedere quello con Rosemary e i titoli di coppia.

AGGIORNAMENTI SU ALBERTO EL PATRON

Alberto El Patron is scheduled to return to GFW for the November TV tapings. The current idea for his return is that he will be a heel against the company, who is upset about his suspension and title being taken away.

Il messicano non ha partecipato all'ultima sessione di tapings svolta dalla compagnia, il che significa che non dovrebbe tornare prima di Bound For Glory, pay-per-view in programma il 5 novembre.

Stando però a quanto riporta PWInsider, El Patron avrebbe dovuto prendere parte ad un segmento durante TripleMania XXV, evento della AAA svolto lo scorso weekend in Messico, che sarebbe poi stato trasmesso durante una puntata di GFW Impact e che avrebbe dovuto portare ad un suo match a Bound For Glory.
Tuttavia la AAA avrebbe agito a sua insaputa mettendo il copyright in Messico sul nome “Alberto El Patron”, e questa azione avrebbe fatto infuriare El Patron che si sarebbe rifiutato di apparire all'evento e partecipare al segmento.

Un'altra possibilità per la GFW, se fosse ancora intenzionata a inserire El Patron nella card di Bound For Glory, sarebbe quella di registrare l'angle in questione durante uno show di una indie, per poi inserirlo in una delle puntate di GFW Impact precedenti al pay-per-view.

Se devono tenerselo per forza, almeno da heel è meno merdoso - a pelle credo che avrà un feud con Jarrett (face).
Speriamo che in un modo o nell'altro vada via presto, comunque.



GFW RINNOVA CON POP TV

La Global Force Wrestling e POP TV avrebbero siglato un nuovo contratto che permetterebbe al canale televisivo di continuare a trasmettere gli episodi di GFW Impact anche nel 2018.


Tale accordo però, nonostante permetta alla compagnia di avere una copertura televisiva negli Stati Uniti anche il prossimo anno, non è molto vantaggioso dal punto di vista economico per la GFW, dato che continuerà a dividersi con POP TV i soli introiti pubblicitarie.

Quindi almeno fino a fine 2018 la GFW sarà con POP TV e con gli stessi accordi purtroppo: ovvio meglio di non avere un canale ma speravo in un canale leggermente più grande (tipo Spike TV come in UK - anche se odio Spike TV per i suoi vecchi trascorsi con la TNA)

RECORD PER EDDIE EDWARDS

Eddie Edwards did what no other American wrestler has ever accomplished: he became the Global Honored Crown (GHC) Heavyweight Champion for Japan’s Pro Wrestling NOAH.

Edwards – who has won numerous titles in Global Force Wrestling, including the GFW Global Championship, the X-Division Championship (twice) and the Tag Team Championship (five times) – defeated Katsuhiko Nakajima in a near-25 minute match in Japan on Saturday, Aug. 26, in the main event at Summer Navigation 2017 vol. 2.

The shocking win ended Nakajima’s title run of more than 300 days.

Edwards became the 17th GHC Heavyweight Champion.

“I made my debut in Pro Wrestling NOAH almost 12 years ago to the day,” Edwards said. “To win the GHC Heavyweight Championship is amazing, and to be the first American to hold this title means that much more to me.

“Truly, anything is possible.”

Scott D’Amore, GFW Vice-President of International Relations, said Edwards’ title victory, “is truly a historic moment.”

“All of us at GFW are proud of Eddie and elated for his success,” D’Amore added.

Eli Drake difenderà il titolo GFW la settimana prossima ai tapings della AAA. Nell'intervista anche Chris Adonis è sembrato possibilista a lottare di nuovo in AAA, dopo un anno e mezzo passato a sparlarne in giro. Immagini l'abbia detto solo per non creare polemica in questo momento.

Alberto vs Jarrett mi interesserebbe. La storia del nome dovrebbe essere molto vecchia, è per questo che Alberto tentò di farsi chiamare El Presidente. Difatti lui stava contrattando fino al giorno prima di Triplemania.

Comunque ho visto che dovrebbe andare nella Championship Wrestling From Hollywood, l'ex circuito NWA in cui stavano Cabana, Pearce, Aries, Willie Mack ed Eli Drake. Magari registrano lì, la location era pure carina.

Perché l'ha tenuta in piedi economicamente per quasi 10 anni e le ha garantito il miglior spot televisivo che abbia mai ricevuto?

Nel suo blindmarkismo continui a non capire le cose. Te le spiego piano, piano, così capisci.

La GFW fa ascolti di merda e non ha nessuna garanzia quindi, nonostante abbia trattato in giro, NESSUNO le ha dato un contratto VERO. Date che su POP! spendono e basta. QUindi non è una buona notizia che per un altro anno stiano su POP.
E se Spike TV ha detto "no". Non è certo perchè sono cattivi, ma perchè la GFW non ha ascoltatori, non ha sponsor, non ha nulla di nulla.

EC3, Storm ed Eli Drake saranno presenti ai tapings della AAA questa sera. Ovviamente non sono annunciati sul poster, quindi chissà che faranno.
Drake diceva che avrebbe difeso il titolo GFW.

Nel weekend hanno registrato anche dei match a Tijuana in uno show della Crash. Non li riporto perché si incrociano con delle storylines che per adesso sono spoiler.
D'altronde nella continuity della GFW Triplemania è avvenuta una settimana dopo che nella realtà.

REPORT: ANTHEM 'HEMORRHAGING FUNDS', WANTS OUT OF GFW

Justin Barrasso of Sports Ilustrated is reporting that Global Force Wrestling, under Anthem Media's ownership, has been "hemorrhaging funds" and that "sources close to the situation have confirmed that Anthem is ready to withdraw itself from the wrestling industry and sell GFW."

It was obvious based on the last set of TV tapings that there had been cutbacks with a number of talents not brought in and others only used for certain tapings before being flown home, as opposed to remaining for the entire run of tapings.

Since purchasing what at the time was known as TNA Impact Wrestling, Anthem has had to catch the company up and get it out of several legal predicaments including the Billy Corgan situation and a lawsuit brought against the company by its former production company, Virginia's Audience of One Productions. The ownership came with Impact Wrestling deeply, deeply in the red. Although there have been several new TV deals made, there have been relatively few new revenue streams brought into the company and partnerships forged with different international companies, including AAA, Crash Lucha Libre and Pro Wrestling NOAH.

Since Anthem purchased the company, controversy continued to follow, including the "Broken Hardys" situation, the suspension of then-reigning GFW champion Alberto el Patron and now, the departure of Jeff Jarrett, who is taking an "indefinite leave of absence" as Chief Creative Officer following a meeting yesterday in Nashville, TN with Ed Nordholm.

Prior to Anthem taking ownership of Impact from Dixie Carter and Impact Ventures LLC, World Wrestling Entertainment, ROH parent company Sinclair Broadcast Group and Billy Corgan (who went on to purchase the National Wrestling Alliance instead) all looked into potentially acquiring the brand - and in the case of Corgan began that process before ending up suing the very company he was, at the time, President of.

PWInsider.com can confirm that there were multiple meetings yesterday afternoon and early evening regarding plans for the company going forward We can also confirm that calls were being made yesterday to members of the roster to assure them that everything was fine following the Jarrett announcement.

Anthem Media is also the parent company of the Fight Network, which airs pro wrestling programming regularly. It has begun putting much of the TNA/Impact/GFW library to use on the network since acquiring ownership.
