ECW Hardcore TV 20/2/1997
Si parte con un buon promo lungo di Raven, che parla di tutti gli avversari che ha al momento, e sono parecchi, insultandoli tutti e ricordando che alla fine il campione è lui.
Sandman vs D-Von è decente ma il Legdrop finale di Sandman dal tubo sul soffitto è notevole. Interessante come anche Sign Guy Dudley sia passato dalla parte di D-Von... e la “Double Bubba Cutter” viene rinominata “Dudley Death Drop” come è giusto che sia.
Viene annunciato il 6-men tag team match tra atleti Michinoku Pro per Barely Legal. Considerato il consueto roster corto della ECW, è un ottimo modo per impiegare del tempo che sarebbe stato probabilmente sprecato in match tra zozzoni. Grandioso il BWO che ne approfitta per espandersi internazionalmente coinvolgendo Dick Togo, Terry Boy e Taka Michinoku.
Taz vs Scott Taylor è discreto, e mostra che nonostante le sue parole Taz è ancora un po’ imballato dall’infortunio, e concede parecchio al futuro Scotty 2 Hotty prima di farlo cedere alla sua patentata Tazmission.

ECW Cyberslam 22/2/1997
Evento nella media della ECW... qualche porcheria, qualche spotfest. Match della serata Raven & Lee vs Funk & Dreamer, nonostante il finale di merda.
Si parte con Eliminators vs RVD & Sabu, e dopo aver visto qualche incontro è ormai chiaro che tra i due team non c’è alcuna alchimia. Rimane un match con qualche bello spot ma anche qualche botch di troppo, e tanta tanta confusione. Ci si aspettava sicuramente di più. A fine match RVD stronzeggia come suo solito rifiutando di stringere la mano agli Eliminators, e l’alleanza con Sabu potrebbe risentirne...
L’angle tra i Pitbulls e il Triple Threat è venuto parecchio bene, anche e soprattutto grazie all’heat atomico che si porta dietro Shane Douglas.
Little Guido si trova un altro “italianissimo” alleato in Tommy Rich che tra l’altro se ne esce con un “do you smell what i’m cooking?” antecedente a The Rock. Il match non è un granchè, Chetti sembra ancora parecchio acerbo e fa strano vedere Guido dominare... comunque vittoria per il primo rookie uscito dalla House of Hardcore nonchè cugino di Taz, Chris Chetti...
Stevie Richards vs Balls Mahoney non è stato granchè... Richards può fare buoni match con gli avversari giusti ma Balls non è proprio uno di questi, anzi al di fuori dell’hardcore è pressochè inutile.
Axl Rotten vs Spike Dudley gioca sul piccoletto contro la bestia, e durando poco riesce a essere decente. Spike va vicinissimo alla vittoria, ma i suoi fratelli gli costano il match.
Dudleyz vs Gangstaz è la classica brawlerata senza costrutto che per me è il peggio della ECW... quindici minuti di pugni a caso. I Dudleyz col tempo sono migliorati, ma agli inizi erano veramente base...
Taz vs Tracy Smothers mostra ancora una volta un Taz che non è al 100% come diceva, ma che comunque pur subendo si libera del veterano.
Dreamer & Funk vs Raven & Lee invece sarà anch’esso una scazzottata, ma è estremamente superiore nel raccontare una storia, rendendo il tutto molto più appassionante. Funk cerca fino all’ultimo di tornare sul ring a combattere, ma è chiaro che non ce la può fare oggi e viene fermato dal suo stesso compagno di team preoccupato per il suo mentore. Interessante il segmento finale, che mostra Raven avere ancora parecchi nemici, anche senza Funk, ma il perchè Sandman pinni Raven resta misterioso...
Candido vs Sabu discreto, bei spottoni ma mi aspettavo Candido desse più filo logico a quella che comunque resta una spotfest.
