ECW Hardcore TV 8/10/1996
Niente da dire... Flyboy Stevie Rock e Meanie Grunge sono esilaranti. E poi partono anche belli carichi... peccato che subito dopo prima i Gangstaz riprendono il sopravvento, e poi arrivano gli Eliminators per il No Contest.
Mikey vs JT Smith è guardabile nel suo essere un Mikey contro un mucchio di jobber comedy, ma niente di che. Mikey avrebbe veramente bisogno di storie più che di queste cose...
Il main event è la solita brawlerata caciarona in tutto il palazzetto, condita in positivo dai soliti megabump di Tommy Dreamer e da tante nearfalls. Il risultato non è che mi soddisfi pienamente, Sandman sono due anni e passa che non è praticamente mai uscito dal giro titolato, e un altro titolo non gli serviva molto. Paradossalmente avrebbe avuto senso una vittoria di Dreamer che avrebbe ironicamente ottenuto il titolo senza aver mai schienato Raven, ma si sa che Tommy non voleva passare per uno che sfruttava la sua posizione di collaboratore di Heyman...

ECW Hardcore TV 15/10/1996
Puntata niente di che per il wrestling, ma importante per il grosso angle finale, che mostra una volta di più come la ECW ai tempi andasse oltre.
Sentendo il discorso di Styles ad inizio puntata, sembra che la ECW stesse disconoscendo il suo periodo Eastern. Sandman era già al quarto regno, non al terzo, solo che il primo era compreso tra la fine del 92 e l’inizio del 93.
Per quanto riguarda Lori Fullington, è stata abbandonata da Raven e sembra aver avuto un ulteriore crollo psicotico, oltre ovviamente a sembrare parecchio fatta di eroina. A un certo punto sembra suggerire che Raven si sia suicidato, ma poi pressata da Styles dice che Raven è semplicemente all’estero e si è portato Tyler con lui.
Taz vs Smith è stato appena discreto, qualche mossa d’impatto ma l’azione è stata molto slegata anche per colpa della stipulazione.
Il match degli Eliminators è quasi uno squash, ed è un bene perchè i samoani non dicevano veramente nulla.
Il match tra Douglas e Pitbull #2 è quello che si poteva fare con un wrestler limitato come il secondo. L’angle finale è un classico worked shoot ECW, con l’assalto a Pitbull #1 che evidentemente era in condizioni molto migliori di quanto annunciato.
