Air Date: Sunday, May 2, 1999
7:00 PM - 8:00 PM (EST) on USA
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
•Hosted by: Michael Cole and Kevin Kelly
•Live from: San Diego, California
•Reported by: Adam Silver

•New Age Outlaws defeated D'Lo Brown/Mark Henry
(Countout)
-The New Age Outlaws did their usual opening as the team of D'Lo Brown and Mark Henry made their way down to the ring along with Ivory. As Prince Albert and Droz come down to attack Mark Henry and D'Lo Brown on the outside of the ring, the New Age Outlaws stayed inside to win by countout.

•X-Pac/New Age Outlaws/Kane Confrontation.
-After the completion of the match, Billy Gunn called out X-Pac to make a formal apology for his actions last Thursday on Smackdown! When X-Pac made his way to the ring, Gunn quickly apologized as X-Pac announced that DX is still together. As X-Pac was celebrating, Billy Gunn attacked him form behind only to be held off by the Road Dog. This brought out Kane who went into the ring and chokeslamed the Road Dog not knowing who attacked X-Pac. Billy Gunn slowly walked to the backstage area as Kane tries to help X-Pac out. X-Pac then stared at him for a moment asking him why he chokeslamed Jesse James, but nonetheless they left together.

•A montage is shown of the McMahon family heritage and how Shane McMahon defied it at In Your House: Backlash but not counting the pin on the Rock. The footage then continues to Thursday's Smackdown! when Shane McMahon fully turns on his father and forms the Corporate Ministry. Finally, however, it ends with Vince McMahon saving Austin from getting a chair shot and Austin retaliating against the Undertaker and Shane McMahon in the end. After the viewing of the footage and Michael Cole asking if it was all a hoax, Shane McMahon is shown in the backstage area getting very upset.

•Shane McMahon's limousine is shown pulling up to the arena.

•Ken Shamrock/Test defeated Acolytes
(Submission)
-Within two minutes of the match's opening, Ken Shamrock hit the ankle-lock-submission on Faarooq for the win. Quickly after the completion of the match, the Corporate Ministry rushed to the ring to attack Shamrock and Test.

•Big Boss Man Interview.
-The Big Boss Man quickly took to the microphone and challenged Mankind to a fight later in the night, perhaps in the boiler room.

•Paul Wight is shown walking into the arena. After Sunday Night Heat returned from the commercial break, Mankind is shown attacking the Big Boss Man in the boiler room as both brawled for quite a while. Eventually, Shane McMahon threw many members from the Corporate Ministry into the boiler room and locked the doors in order to make Mankind suffer. Wight quickly ran and pried open the doors as he shooed the members out.

•Paul Wight/Ministry of Darkness Confrontation.
-Paul Wight quickly came out to the ring and challenged the Undertaker to a match. As his music went over the loud speakers, the Ministry of Darkness attacked Paul Wight in the middle of the ring, however they did not knock him down. Finally, after having the Ministry hold Paul Wight, the Undertaker knocked him down with repeated blows.

•As Paul Wight is shown searching for the Corporate Ministry, Shane McMahon is found calling the police and requesting the whole precinct to come and arrest Wight.

•Hardcore Holly/Al Snow Confrontation.
-Holly made his way out to the ring and announced that he is mad because his match tonight with Al Snow is not for the title. Al Snow quickly got on the Titantron and explained that Head is the champion and he is not. He explained that therefore, he cannot give him a title shot as he explained that he wanted to make a peace offering. Bob "Spark Plugg" Holly's music then came over the loud speakers as Snow made his way to the ring with a very small car and a deer head.

•Al Snow defeated Hardcore Holly
(Countout)
-The match immediately began as it became a hardcore rules match even though it was not supposed to be. Head and the even the fake car Al Snow brought to the ring were used in the brawl. Hardcore Holly then smacked Snow with Head and yelled at him saying that he will get Head back when he gets a Hardcore Championship shot.

•Paul Wight is shown outside the arena bashing Shane McMahon's limousine with a two-by-four. A few police officers are shown waiting outside for Paul Wight as Shane comes running out screaming for Paul Wight to be arrested. He went peacefully claiming that he would get Shane tomorrow night.

•Shane McMahon Interview.
-Shane McMahon made his way down with the whole Corporate Ministry with a revamped enterance music (a cross between the No Chance in Hell and the Ministry of Darkness' music.) Shane then announced that the Corporate Ministry took out four pests tonight, Ken Shamrock, Test, Mankind, and Paul Wight. He then announced two matches for Over the Edge. The first being Triple H versus the Rock, and the second being the Undertaker versus Steve Austin with himself as the special guest referee. McMahon then explained that there is only one more thing he needs to do and that is to face his father tomorrow night on Raw is War.

RAW IS WAR RATING: 6.4
MONDAY NITRO RATING: 3.4

*World Wrestling Federation's:
*RAW IS WAR REPORT
*Air Date: Monday, May 3, 1999
*9:00 PM - 11:00 PM (EST) on USA
*Taped on: Sunday, May 2, 1999
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
•Hosted by: Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler
•Taped from: San Diego, California
•Reported by: Adam Silver

•Raw is War began with a montage of Thursday's Smackdown! in which Vince McMahon saved Steve Austin from a chair shot, and Austin returned the favor by stunning Shane McMahon twice. The footage then went to last night's Heat in which Shane challenged his father.

•Corporate Ministry Interview.
-Shane McMahon began his tirade explaining that he is not responsible for what the Corporate Ministry does as he continues to rage on about compassion. He then called everybody that lived form paycheck to paycheck losers and said he had it all. Triple H then went on his own spree about calling the Rock the "Crock" and setting up his match against him at Over the Edge. The Undertaker then took control of the microphone saying he hates Steve Austin the most out of everybody while he sets up his match for Over the Edge. He told Austin that he will take his title at Over the Edge and then sacrifice him the next night on Raw is War to a power even higher than him. Shane McMahon finished the interview by reminding everybody that he is the special guest referee and telling Vince McMahon that he had two hours to get to the ring and face him.

•Mankind/Paul Wight/Ken Shamrock/Test Interview.
-Mankind, Paul Wight, Test, and Ken Shamrock came out with two-by-fours as Mankind took the microphone and said that they all were disgruntled employees of the Corporation. He explained that their name would be the Union that People like You OUght to Respect. He explained that that spelled "up yours" and that would be their name. The Union then made their way down to the ring and surrounded the ring. A rumble began in the ring as they knocked out the whole Corporate Ministry and made them run to the backstage area.

•Billy Gunn pinned X-Pac
-The upper hand in this match constantly changed, however X-Pac's moments were high-flying and risk taking. At one point, X-Pac hit many repetitive maneuvers, however he did not achieve a pin count. The final turn of the match began when Billy Gunn stopped X-Pac's bronco buster by a kick directly to the testicles. He then hit a fam-ass-er for the pin as he went outside to bring a chair into the ring. When Billy Gunn was about to hit X-Pac with a chair, Jesse James came running down to save him by knocking Billy out of the ring. He quickly returned knocking the Road Dog out with a chair as Kane's music went over the loud speakers. Kane quickly made his way to the ring as Billy Gunn rolled out and continued to the backstage area.

•The door to Shane McMahon's dressing room is shown getting knocked at from the inside as Shane seemed to be complaining.

•Shane McMahon Interview.
-Along with the Corporate Ministry, Shane McMahon announced a few changes for tonight's lineup. The "asshole" chants were so loud that it was hard to hear Shane talk as his father along with his mother (Linda) and sister entered the arena. The Big Boss Man/Viscera/Midian versus Test was set up along with Mankind squaring off against the Acolytes. Triple H versus Ken Shamrock was then announced with Chyna as the special guest referee as Shane continued with the Mean Street Posse against the Stooges. He ended by making four more matches, Paul Wight versus the Undertaker, the Rock against Steve Austin in a lumberjack match (Corporate Ministry as lumberjacks), himself against Vince McMahon, and Sable against Debra in an evening gown match for his own enjoyment.

•Vince McMahon/Linda McMahon Interview.
-Vince McMahon made his way down to the ring by himself, however Linda and Stephanie made their way down as well with a bunch of police officers. He began by asking Shane to stop going so far, but Shane quickly retaliated saying that he is running the show. Vince McMahon quickly declined Shane's challenge for a match as he turned the microphone over to his wife who pleaded for Shane to stop. Shane then told his own mother to "shut up" as Vince began to push him around the ring. Shane stood up to his father the whole way by telling him that he could have "them" do it all over again. (Mentioning that he was behind the Undertaker capturing Stephanie.) Vince then quickly charged the ring as the Corporate Ministry began to pound on him with the Undertaker taunting.

•Linda and Stephanie McMahon are shown in the backstage area pleading with Vince not to fight Shane, however he quickly ignores them yelling that he will kick Shane's ass.

•Pat Patterson/Gerald Brisco defeated Mean Street Posse
(Count-out)
-Patterson and Brisco quickly attack the Mean Street Posse and dominated the early part of the match using their belts as whips and their older wrestling skills to their advantage. Both men also used the steel steps and the outside ring area to their advantage. The crowd had a great reaction to both men as they were declared the winners most likely by count-out although it was never officially said.

•After the match, Shane McMahon was shown speaking with the Corporate Ministry in the backstage area. After the commercial break, the Corporate Ministry is shown walking in the backstage area.

•Test pinned Midian/Big Boss Man/Viscera
*Four-Corners Match*
-Although the match was officially a four-corners match, it was obviously a handicapped match instead. Test dominated a great deal of the match, but the Corporate Ministry overcame him with their constant tags. While the referee's back was turned, the Big Boss Man mistakenly hit Midian with a stick allowing Test to receive the pin. Quickly after the conclusion of the match, the men attacked Test, who was finally saved by the Union.

•Triple H with Chyna and the Undertaker are shown walking out of Vince McMahon's office. We are then told that they just assaulted him.

•Vince McMahon pinned Shane McMahon
-Because he believed that his father would not be coming down to wrestle, Shane began to assault his father saying that he can't wait to publicly destroy him. Vince McMahon then came limping out of the Titantron area as he fell a bit down the ramp. Shane McMahon met him there and began to beat him up on the steel ramp. Shane continued his assault on his father in the ring as it looked like Vince had no chance to win. He finally ducked a clothesline and hit one of his own as he countered with a stunner and a pin.

•Acolytes pinned Mankind
*Hardcore Rules Handicapped Match*
-The Acolytes dominate the early part of the match-up with their constant use of the steel steps (in and out of the ring) and some two-by-fours. Mankind, however, used steel trash cans and empty boxes for his advantage. Faarooq then missed a chair shot to receive a double-arm-DDT and a mandible claw. Bradshaw quickly broke up the mandible claw as he took the advantage in the match-up. After a double power bomb onto two steel chairs, the Acolytes received the win.

•Triple H pinned Ken Shamrock
[Chyna is the special guest referee.]
-Both men dominated an equal share of the match as Chyna did not get involved that much. The only times Chyna showed favoritism was a fast count for Triple H and a rake of the face when Shamrock had a submission maneuver on Triple H. Chyna also covered her eyes when Triple H went for illegal maneuvers, but Ken Shamrock still countered with a pin (again not counted). As Triple H had the pedigree almost set in, Ken Shamrock reversed it into an ankle-lock-submission. Chyna then interfered by bringing Triple H's hand to the ropes and choking Ken Shamrock. She later delivered a low blow allowing Triple H to hit the pedigree for the pin.

•In a split-screen view, Paul Wight and the Undertaker are shown getting ready.

•Paul Wight defeated Undertaker
(Disqualification)
-The Undertaker was the aggressor in the early going, however Paul Wight quickly took the advantage and knocked the Undertaker to the outside of the ring. As he was bleeding from the left side of his face, the Undertaker poured an ather-type substance on his elbowpad causing Paul Wight to become almost unconscious at the smell of it. The Undertaker then smacked Paul Wight over the head with a baseball bat (which exploded into pieces) as he assulted him in the middle of the ring.

•Debra is shown in the backstage area taking a walk to get ready for her match.

•Nicole Bass defeated Debra
(Disqualification)
*Evening Gown Match*
[The victor is the woman who disrobes the other woman to her bra and panties.]
-Sable is shown on the Titantron declining Shane's offer for the match becasue she is at Hugh Hefner's mansion getting ready to shoot her second Playboy photo shoot. Nicole Bass took her place in the match. Debra takes off her own dress as not to get hurt, but Nicole Bass had other ideas. As she began to fight Debra, Jeff Jarrett ran down to clock her with a guitar sending Val Venis down to knock him out of the ring. Val Venis then left by carrying Debra out willfully.

•Steve Austin and the Rock are shown in the backstage area preparing for their match. We are told that after the commercial break, Jeff Jarrett found Val Venis and both brawled in the backstage area.

•The match of Steve Austin against the Rock in a lumberjack match was about to begin. After Steve Austin and the Rock made their enterances to the ring, the lumberjacks (the whole Corporate Ministry) made their way to the ring. Instead of attacking each other, Steve Austin and the Rock attacked each and every member of the Corporate Ministry. Eventually, they got out numbered and pumbelled in the ring. Vince McMahon then appeared by the enterance way and was shown throwing the Union along with the Godfather, X-Pac, and a few more wrestlers down to the ring. Eventually, the numbers evened out as Triple H, and the Undertaker attacked the Rock with Steve Ausitn fighting elsewhere. Austin finally appeared and attacked the Undertaker. Quickly, however, both men went on top of a square contraption which went into the steel platform with smoke coming out. Everyone believed that they dissapeared until Steve Austin jumped out and began attacking Triple H, inadvertantly knocking the Rock off and into the crowd. The Undertaker then re-appeared and tossed Steve Austin to the same place as the Rock was laying. The cameras showed both men lying in a rumble of talbes, ladders and electronical units as Raw is War went off the air with the Corporate Ministry's music.

*Sunday Night Heat began with footage from last week on Raw is War continuing the McMahon family fued and the Steve Austin/The Rock lumberjack match.

*After the beginning montage, the Corporate Ministry is shown walking into the arena with the Big Boss Man locking the main door.

*X-Pac/Kane versus Acolytes
*Tag Team Championship*
-As the Acolytes quickly stormed the ring, X-Pac and Kane dominated them quickly tossing them to the outside of the ring. X-Pac then missed the bronco buster as the Union is shown attempting to get into the arena. Billy Gunn then ran down to dismantle X-Pac, but Kane quickly saw him and chased after him. X-Pac, now back in the ring, recieved a back breaker as the Road Dogg came down to help him and become his tag team partner. As X-Pac layed on the ring apron, the Road Dogg recieved a double powerbomb to get pinned. Viscera, Midian, and the Big Boss Man then ran down to attack X-Pac and the Road Dogg. As the attack on the two men began in the ring, Paul Wight ripped open the door to the arena as the rest of the Union stormed the ring to save X-Pac and the Road Dogg. Kane then returned to the ring to shove Mankind aside and carry X-Pac to the back.

*Debra is shown in the locker room rubbing her leg up and down.

*Billy Gunn pinned Val Venis
-As Val Venis began his opening mic work, Billy Gunn attacked him cutting him short. As Val Venis gained the advantage in the match, Debra came down to ringside and climbed up on the apron. Jeff Jarrett followed her and pulled her off as Val Venis recieved a fam-ass-er and a pin. Kane then appeared at the enterance way and quickly made his way down to the ring. When he reached the ring, Billy Gunn thew Val Venis into him for a chokeslam. Billy Gunn then ran away with Kane chasing him as Nicole Bass ran to the ring and performed mouth-to-mouth on Val Venis. When he realized what happened, Val Venis ran away from Bass and out of the ringside area.

*Al Snow is shown talking to the deer head while they were playing strip poker.

*Bob Holly/Al Snow Confrontation.
-Bob Holly is shown in the ring wearing a referee's uniform calling out Al Snow. Holly explained that he is a special guest referee for a Hardcore title match between Al Snow and Head tonight. The winner then has to defend the title in a match against Holly.

*Al Snow pinned Head
*Hardcore Championship*
-Al Snow quickly began to beat up Head using everything including a table. When he used the table, he missed and hit his head, however he pinned Head.

*Jesse James Interview.
-The Road Dogg said that even though he did get a bit injured he would dominate Triple H later in the night.

*Triple H pinned Jesse James
-Triple H made his way to the ring with new music and new tights (not the pant-like ones he wears but more of a briefs style). AS the Road Dogg took advantage of the match, Billy Gunn ran down and onto the apron but quickly got knocked off. Triple H then, after a powerslam, delivered a pedigree for the pin. Billy Gunn then confronted Triple H in the middle of the ring as both men began to attack Jesse James. Kane then made his way down the ring as he picked up the Road Dogg instead of Billy Gunn (who ran to the back). X-Pac, this time, ran out to save the Road Dogg as Kane put him down.

*Paul Wight is shown walking in the backstage area with a two-by-four. After the commercial break, Billy Gunn is shown taking off in his car from the outside of the arena.

*Paul Wight versus Midian
-Paul Wight quickly delivered the Showstopper to Midian as he tossed the referee out of the ring. He then picked up Midian's eye-in-a-jar and crushed it in his hand to shove it in the mouth of Midian. He then delivered a elbow-drop as he challenged the Ministry to come out and destory him or he would destroy Midian.

*The Undertaker Interview.
-The Undertaker quickly came on the Titantron and explained that he would need to take care of skinning a snake before he could deal with Paul Wight. He then threatened Paul Wight as he delivered another Showstopper to Midian in the middle of the ring.

*Meat pinned Droz
-Meat was led into the ring by P.M.S. Meat dominated a good part of the match against Droz although he did loose the momentum once or twice. While Meat gained the pin on Droz, Prince Albert was on the outside trying to pierce Terri Runnells. Jacqueline quickly jumped off the ring apron to save her as Meat attacked Droz and Prince Albert. When he got double-teamed, P.M.S. attacked Droz and Prince A lbert only to get Meat to saftey.

*The Corporate Ministry is shown having a meeting in the backstage area as the Rock is shown walking.

*The Rock/Triple H Confrontation.
-The Rock mentioned that he is finally in Jacksonville, Florida as he explained to Triple H that he will defeat him at Over the Edge because he will be there. The Rock then antagonizes Triple H to come and fight him in the ring as the whole Ministry of Darkness came in to attack him. The Union quickly ran out from the backstage area to help the Rock as Sunday Night Heat went off the air.
