A 30th year anniversary party was held for Masahiro Chono to celebrate his career as a pro-wrestler. The event took place at the Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel in which roughly 250 were in attendance from pro-wrestlers, officials, as well as many friends and family.

During the event Chono announced that he will be starting a new program called the “New World Awards Sports Life Association” (ニューワールドアワーズスポーツ救命協会/Nyuwarudo awazu supotsu kyumei kyokai). Chono stated that he has had too many friends pass away at a young age, namely Shinya Hashimoto and Mitsuharu Misawa, and he is fully involved in educational activities and awareness in regards to athletic sports.

Chono also made mention that he is not fully retired, yet, from the business but he will continue to compete as he is able. He did not shoot down the idea of possibly celebrating his 40th anniversary in some capacity.

[BJW News] Big Japan announced that Shinya Ishikawa will be retiring as a professional wrestler.

Shinya stated that he is 30 years old and has a family that he needs to take care of first and foremost, and that he wants to separate himself from pro-wrestling at this time.

Shinya has been wrestling since March of 2008 and “was” the current reigning BJW World Strong Heavyweight Champion, which he won back in February of this year. Shinya though suffered a shoulder injury in August and is currently unable to compete because of it.

Shinya’s retirement ceremony will be held on the upcoming Korakuen Hall show on September 23rd. BJW thanks all the fans who have supported Shinya over the years and hopes that everyone comes out to cheer for him one last time.

6. Summer Adventure Tag League Semifinals: Jimmy Susumu, Jimmy Kagetora{W} (18:22 Kagenui) BxB Hulk, Masaaki Mochizuki{L}

Yoshino & Shachi celebrated their win in the opener. Even though they had poor overall results in the tag league, Shachi scored the biggest win of his career when he pinned CIMA in their match with Osaka06. His physical conditioning was in peak form, and he picked up another win today. Inspired by all this, Shachi hoped to bring MONSTER EXPRESS out of their recent slump. Even with best friends Ricochet & Uhaa away, there was no better time than now for the four native members to rediscover the foundation of the unit. That is, happiness and friendship.

T-Hawk said it wouldn't matter who won the main event. They would fall to the Millenials on their path to a repeat tournament victory.

Shachi attempted to console Tozawa. He restated his remarks from after the opener. Even in times of defeat, you can find happiness in the comfort of your friends. He offered a handshake to Tozawa. Tozawa refused. He said with the recent losses and troubles he is going through, he simply can't find the will to smile or laugh right now. He left the ring on his own.

Kagetora called out T-Hawk & Eita. They argued back and forth over the tournament finals. Eita said the finals would end the same way their first round match did. With one of them tapping out to the Numero Uno. Susumu said he had no choice but to give up, since it was so early in the tournament. But in the finals, there would be no giving up. His arm could be broken into pieces, he will see through it to win.

09/23 Summer Adventure Tag League Finale
9/23/2014 Osaka, BODYMAKER COLOSSEUM #2

0. Shachihoko BOY (5:44 Front Cradle) Yosuke♡Santa Maria
1. Genki Horiguchi H.A.Gee.Mee!!, Mr. Quu Quu Tanizaki Naoki Toyonaka Dolphin, Jimmy Kanda{W} (9:23 Ryu's) Naruki Doi, Kzy, Mondai Ryu{L}
2. Super Shisa (6:42 Alejando Lock) Yuga Hayashi
3. Masaaki Mochizuki (9:34 Disqualified after MAD BLANKEY interference) Punch Tominaga
4. YAMATO, Cyber Kong{W}, Punch Tominaga (15:53 Cyber Bomb) BxB Hulk, Masaaki Mochizuki, Dragon Kid{L}
5. Masato Yoshino, Akira Tozawa{W}, Shingo Takagi (12:57 Package German Suplex Hold) CIMA, Don Fujii, Gamma{L}
6. Summer Adventure Tag League 2014 Finals: Jimmy Susumu, Jimmy Kagetora{W} (24:06 Kagenui) T-Hawk{L}, Eita

The show opened with a brief confrontation between the tag league finalists. Kagetora talked about starting off the league with a bad loss to the Millenials duo. Susumu also said things started poorly, but today they would surely win. Eita mocked them. The champions would repeat as winners, and Susumu would repeat at submitting to the Numero Uno.

Kanda talked about his upcoming Brave Gate #1 contender match with K-ness. He was close to making it under the 85kg weight limit. He promised to beat K-ness, then go on to win the title from Flamita. If he had a say in the location, he hoped it would be at GATE OF DESTINY on 11/2 here in Osaka.

All of MAD BLANKEY attacked Mochizuki after match three, prompting a save from Dia Hearts. After some arguing, Mochizuki & PT were added to match four, turning it into a 6 man tag.

Afterwards, Cyber and Hulk got into it in advance of their Dream Gate match in Hakata. Cyber said he would use the Cyber Bomb to drive Hulks' puny head through the mat. The heart in Dia Hearts would be destroyed. The next Dream Gate champion is Cyber Kong, do you understand? Hulk had no idea what he was talking about, and wondered if Kong himself even knew what he meant half time. He promised to hold on to his title in Hakata. Hulk turned his attention to Dia Hearts. While he was sure he could beat Kong, he did bring up a point about the current unit balance. Dia only have three members, compared to the large memberships that the other units possess. So, applications for new members were officially open. They wouldn't seek anyone out. Any wrestler who hoped to grow and advance themselves in Dia Hearts would be considered. Hulk hoped to have their new teammates with them by the time they return to Osaka.

Tozawa was elated at once again experiencing the feeling of victory. He talked about the recent malaise in MONSTER EXPRESS. His best friends, Uhaa Nation & Ricochet, were gone. Their busy scheduled will make it very difficult for them to return before the year was out. He talked about the events back in Kyoto where Shachi tried to mediate things. Today, he was ready to join hands in happiness, friendship, and victory with his Japanese teammates. If they would join hands with him, that is. Yoshino quickly accepted, and ME joined hands for the first time in awhile. Tozawa said he also had a special way of showing happiness and friendship. He liked to hug Uhaa & Ricochet. Today, he wanted to hug them, Particularly Takagi, so he jumped into his arms for a long, powerful hug. Even though the tag league ended in defeat for him, Tozawa promised a huge burst of activity from him in the near future.

Kagetora talked about the various troubles the Jimmyz have gone through in 2014. From all the combat mode strife, his own brief split personality, he thanked the fans for sticking with them. There was one prize left. Since they beat the Twin Gate champions today, it was natural that they challenge for the titles. T-Hawk was quick to accept, as the Millenials will not forget this defeat. Susumu also thanked the fans for their support as the Jimmyz continue as the longest lasting unit currently in DG. He became the second fighter to win King of Gate and the tag league in the same year (after Doi in 2008). He said there was an important part of the Jimmyz missing that they won't forget, which lead to Ryo Saitos' theme music.

Saito came out in a suit. He congratulated his teammates on their win, but hoped they would let him have a few minutes to talk. He talked about the hernia he suffered back in February. At the time he wasn't quite aware just how severe of an injury it was. Watching the matches from the merchandise table, he knew it would take a long time for him to be able to rehab enough to reach the high level it takes to compete in DG. That time had run out. He went around and shook the hands of his tearful Jimmyz stablemates. He then made his announcement. Ryo "Jimmy" Saito announced he was....returning to action soon! With Kage & Susumu winning, he thought this was the best time to come out and announce it. His return to the ring will take place on 10/11, in front of his hometown fans in Yamagata. The next time they see him in Osaka, he wont be in a suit. He will be dressed for action! The show closed out with a full 6 man Jimmyz Train.
