KING-BREAKER

Despite an incredible offense honed by decades of in-ring competition, WWE Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler was unable to unseat reigning WWE Champion The Miz at WWE Elimination Chamber, much to the chagrin of a raucous crowd at Oakland’s Oracle Arena.

STEEL SURVIVOR

At WWE Elimination Chamber, World Heavyweight Champion Edge outlasted Big Show, Rey Mysterio, Kane, Wade Barrett and Drew McIntyre to emerge victorious from the mind-altering abyss that is the Elimination Chamber Match for the second time in his career. It was the first time in more than five years that the sitting champion had retained his title in such a match. Afterward, when Alberto Del Rio laid siege on the 11-time World Champion, it was Christian who carried out a surprise rescue.

"CORRE" CHAMPIONS

Representing The Corre, Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater won the WWE Tag Team Championship for the second time at WWE Elimination Chamber by defeating Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov with an assist from fellow Corre member Ezekiel Jackson.

John Cena may have punched his ticket for WrestleMania, but the fare proved steep indeed.
In a grueling Elimination Chamber Match, WWE’s 2010 Superstar of the Year was forced to overcome five other Superstars – Randy Orton, John Morrison, R-Truth, King Sheamus and CM Punk – to capture his third victory inside the structure and secure his place in the main event at WrestleMania XXVII.

STRATUS-FYING

Trish Stratus, one the most beloved Divas of all time, will return to WWE as one of the trainers on WWE Tough Enough. The seven-time Women’s Champion will join SmackDown commentator Booker T and WWE Hall of Famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin when the non-scripted show debuts April 4 – the night after WrestleMania XXVII – on USA Network at 11/10 CT.

KELLY KELLY'S BACK

Vickie Guerrero came before the WWE Universe at WWE Elimination Chamber, hoping to help her boyfriend, Dolph Ziggler, get his job back. But Guerrero’s apology and explanation about why Ziggler attacked SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long fell on deaf ears, and even prompted the re-hire of Kelly Kelly!

BRINGING IT BACK

After seven years, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson returns to WWE as Host of WrestleMania XXVII. Not missing a beat, the iconic multi-time World Champion shared some words with the WWE Universe and the entire Raw locker room.

Che torni è inevitabile, così come è ovvio che avrà il suo match di cartello in quel di WM. La mia speranza è che stia sempre lontano da quella cosa che luccica. Siccome non ne sarò certo al 100% finché non dichiarerà le sue intenzioni, meglio essere scaramantici.

E' che un pochino i grandi nomi mancano in questa edizione...non che sia necessariamente un male, anzi, ma un pochino del tanto bistrattato starpower ci vuole specialmente a Wrestlemania.

Anche per il forum: è così invivibile in questi giorni (sull'onda del "WWE merda"), che se mettono un paio di nomi grossi non può che far bene. Loro si segano sullo starpower, io mi godo l'evento nel complesso.

E concordo con te sul fatto che potrebbe affrontare davvero Undertaker a questo punto (ma non lo do nemmeno troppo per scontato). Sinceramente lo avrei preferito contro un altro giovane (giusto per mantenere il trend dei due Main Event), ma vale il discorso fatto sopra.

Sono d'accordo sul fatto che buona parte di questa edizione verrebbe inevitabilmente retta da quell'incontro, ma non sono d'accordo sulla sua collocazione all'interno della card. Anzi, se The Rock avrà a che fare con Cena e Miz (magari come Special Enforcer, come si era detto tempo fa) credo che il Main Event possa essere proprio quest'ultimo, con Undertaker e Triple H a fare da spartiacque tra i due match titolati.

Poi magari mi sbaglio eh, però ho questa sensazione per quest'anno.
