Per quanto riguarda superstars:

- Gli Headshrinkers battono Owen Hart & The Anvil per squalifica e passano il turno del torneo tag, sett prossima gli smoking guns contri i well dunn

- Continuano a passare i promo del prossimo debutto di Kama (il fu papa Shango e il futuro Godfather) ma ancora non c'è una data di debutto

- A proposito di debutto arriverà settimana prossima Mantaur (lol)

WCW STARRCADE
Duggan vs. Vader
Il regno di Duggan finora è stato piuttosto deludente, sembra lontanissimo il periodo in cui Austin era il campione e ci regalava grandi match con Steamboat. Ora c'è Vader come sfidante per il titolo US, nonostante questo sia ancora riconosciuto come #1 contender al titolo WCW; quanta "fatica" deve fare Vader per arrivare a sfruttare quella shot, impegnato in feud secondari per permettere agli amichetti di Hogan di farsi largo nel main event....
Match tutto sommato gradevole e finale che da un lato protegge Duggan, non facendolo perdere in maniera pulita, ma dall'altro tutela anche Vader, il quale non avrebbe potuto arrivare alla successiva sfida con Hogan con una sconfitta con Duggan alle spalle.

Alex Wright vs. Jean Paul Levesque
"Nella sua prima apparizione a Starrcade HHH jobbava a Alex Wright"(cit. di Rob). Il futuro successo in WCW di questi due è inversamente proporzionale a ciò che lasceranno nella storia del wrestling.
Match a mio avviso perfino troppo lungo, se da un lato Levesque mi pare comunque ancora acerbo, dall'altro Wright mi lascia del tutto indifferente.
Insomma, niente di essenziale.

Badd vs. Arn Anderson
Honky Tonk Man vs. Badd: due mesi di feud(per quanto si faccia fatica a definire questa una vera rivalità) e match in programma a Starrcade per poi mandare tutto in vacca. HTM, infatti, ebbe delle dispute contrattuali con la WCW e decise così di andarsene poco prima che lo show iniziasse, così la federazione decise di rimpiazzarlo con Anderson(che quantomeno era ancora in grado di offrire qualcosa di decente).
L'incontro è piacevole e Badd riesce a mantenere con roll up, quasi inevitabile visto che il match è stato messo su dal nulla(magari con Badd che avrebbe dovuto perdere con HTM dopo le affermazioni precedenti).

Harlem Heat vs. Nasty Boys
Match preceduto dalle immagini dei Nasty che ritirano il premio come PWI Tag Team of the Year; commento di Heenan:" You know, naming the Nasty Boys tag team of the year is like giving the Cindy Crawford beauty award to Roseanne Barr.”"
Mi è piaciucchiato 'sto incontro
Forse è il fatto che era quello, per me, più interessante; il push degli Harlem Heat ha portato una ventata d'aria fresca nella categoria tag, considerando anche che Pretty Wonderful e Stars & Stripes non mi piacevano come coppie.
Forse un po' troppo lungo il match, con la parte di dominio degli heel su Sags che poteva durare meno, ma nel complesso non mi sono annoiato.
Vittoria per DQ dei Nasty che vanno sull'uno pari dopo la sconfitta di Clash of the Champions, permettendo così che il feud continui.

Kevin Sullivan vs. Mr. T
La merda.
Da qui scendono in campo gli amici di Hogan ed il ppv inizia a far cagare.

Sting vs. Avalanche
Come previsto, la merda II.
Sting prova pure a fare qualcosa lavorando sulla gamba dell'avversario, ma ciò non basta per rendere il match piacevole. Il finale è la pallina di cacca sulla torta: Hogan si prende anche qui i le luci della ribalta salvando Sting dall'assalto dei tre heel.

Hulk Hogan vs. The Butcher
Senza parole, la merda III.
Il match più breve della serata(e già sta cosa fa pensare), assolutamente nullo, uno schifo assoluto; ancora non mi capacito come sia stato possibile mettere su un incontro del genere, per di più fargli avere lo spot principale nel ppv più importante della federazione.
Finale da LOL, Hogan che respinge Sullivan, Avalanche e Butcher, Sting ovviamente non si fa vedere così i riflettori sono ancora su Hulk per la seconda volta.
Post match con Savage piatto. Poi intervista con Hogan negli spogliatoi, festeggiato dai face.
Curiosità: i piani originali prevedevano la vittoria di Butcher per poi consegnare il titolo a Savage, il quale a sua volta avrebbe dovuto jobbare a Hogan restituendogli la cintura.

CONCLUSIONI
PPV pessimo, la mid card è quasi sufficiente, ma la parte alta del ppv è a dir poco obbrobriosa; il problema non è tanto il fatto che Hogan spinga per avere i suoi amichetti in federazione, quanto che spinga per fare loro ricoprire spot che non meritano, con Brutus che addirittura si prende un main event che non avrebbe mai dovuto avere.

Ok ho recuperato tutto tutto, pronto per il 95! Mi dispiace che Backlund sia sparito dalla scena titolata senza un rematch, e Starrcade, diosantissimo, terrificante più di quanto pensassi..

Quello di Starrcade 94 è uno dei peggiori match di Hogan, con poco o nulla da ricordare... io stesso l'ho visto solo una volta e poi mi sono ben guardato dal rivederlo. Peccato perchè la vicenda del tradimento di Beefcake era interessante e mi avrebbe sicuramente preso se l'avessi seguita all'epoca.

dio quanto non sopporto beefcake, è il nulla fatto wrestler, spinto solo grazie all'aiuto dei suoi amichetti del cazzo.
Se penso che quel robo ha interrotto la winning steak di Perfect a Wrestlemania, mi incazzo ancora come una faina.
