The much anticipated sci-fi film will be released in theaters and IMAX beginning November 7, 2014. Paramount will distribute domestically while Warner Bros Pictures will release internationally. This rare move by two major studios demonstrates how hot a project Christopher Nolan‘s Interstellar is in the movie marketplace. Today’s announcement was surprising as Paramount Pictures and Warner Bros Pictures don’t do business together on major films. But Interstellar will be co-produced and distributed by the two studios, with Paramount Pictures handling domestic distribution and Warner Bros Pictures distributing the film internationally. Just as interesting, this is a Nolan film that Warner Bros’ financial partner Legendary Pictures will not be associated with after helping bankroll his Batman trilogy as well as his Inception. Directed and written by Academy Award-nominee Nolan, pic is based on a script by Jonathan Nolan. The film will be produced by Nolan and Emma Thomas of Syncopy Films and Lynda Obst of Lynda Obst Productions. Kip Thorne will executive produce. The film will depict a heroic interstellar voyage to the furthest reaches of our scientific understanding:

Enorme curiosità, il progetto sembra molto ambizioso. Spero si porti dietro da The Dark Knight Rises almeno uno fra Joseph Gordon-Levitt e Tom Hardy.

Io sono fiducioso dovesse rivelarsi vero, Nolan è un grande direttore di attori e da questo punto di vista ha cannato pochissime cose. In più McConaughey, dopo una carriera costellata di porcherie, ultimamente si sta dimostrando la cosa migliore dei film ai quali prende parte, dunque con un regista serio potrebbe tirar fuori una buona performance.

Detto questo, faccio ancora il tifo per JGL.

McConaughey nei 5 secondi in cui appare spacca i culi. Questo attore sta crescendo in questi ultimi anni in una maniera impressionante(curioso infatti di vederlo in "Dallas Buyers Club", per la cui interpretazione ha ricevuto un fottio di lodi e nomination).

Parlando del film in sé, non posso dire molto se non che è il film del 2014 che più attendo. Voglio vedere in che direzione proseguirà la filmografia di Nolan, chiusa la parentesi Batman. Inoltre, trattandosi di un puro sci-fi, credo che il tema dell'illusione tanto caro a Nolan verrà un po' meno questa volta.

Il teaser infatti, oltre a preannunciare una colonna sonora pazzesca, ci dà qualche indizio su quello che sarà il tema del film che, riguardando la tendenza dell'uomo a varcare i propri limiti, rientra perfettamente e coerentemente nelle tematiche nolaniane, ma si porta con sé la novità del rapporto con la storia ed il tempo(che sì era presente,questo, già in Inception ma in maniera differente, più funzionale e simbolica, sicuramente meno centrale. Era il tempo della mentre e quel poco che vi era di empirico non fu trattato dandogli il giusto spazio.).



Vedremo se il tempo, appunto darà ragione alle mie impressioni o se addirittura le supererà.
Spero vivamente che non le deluda. Non sarebbe la prima volta con Chris.
