-The show opens with James Storm in the ring for a promo. He talks up his win at Turning Point and his title shot at Final Resolution. He is eventually interrupted by Bobby Roode who claims that Storm was riding his coattails all of these years. Roode runs his mouth about Storm and his family which results in Storm clearing him from the ring. Roode goads Storm into a match tonight putting his title shot at Final Resolution on the line. While Storm declines initially, after Roode says something about Storm's daughter, he changes his mind and accepts.
-Rob Van Dam defeated Kid Kash to retain the X Division Title.
-We get a backstage segment involving the Aces and 8s (Doc, Devon, the VP and others) where they are talking about a tag team match tonight. We get another episode of dart throwing at a picture of the TNA roster.
-Jesse defeated Eric Young. ODB and Tara accompanied their men to the ring.
-We were going to get a TV Title match between Samoa Joe and Magnus but the Aces and 8s jumped Magnus as he was making his entrance. DOC smashed Magnus' leg with a hammer. A bunch of agents came out to save Magnus; who gets stretchered out.
-Kurt Angle and Garett Bischoff defeated Devon and another Aces and 8s member after Angle pinned the masked member. DOC tried to interfere during the match but was run off by Wes Brisco.
-Tara and Jesse walk into Brooke Hogan's office where her and Bully Ray are talking. Ray immediately leaves. Tara complains about the Battle Royal tonight and insinuates that there is something happening between Ray and Brooke.
-Mickie James won a 5-Knockout Battle Royal to earn a title shot. Gail Kim, Miss Tessmacher, Madison Rayne and ODB were also involved.
-AJ Styles comes to the ring to cut a promo about how bad of a year he has had. Eventually, he is interrupted by Kazarian and Daniels who rub salt into AJ's wounds. AJ wants one last match with Daniels but Kazarian said they had nothing to prove. By the end of the promo though it sounded like we were going to get another Daniels vs AJ Styles match in the near future.
-Bobby Roode defeated James Storm to earn a World Title shot at Final Resolution following a pin with a handful of tights.
