maggio 2007 il titolo mondiale difeso nella TNA era quello appartenente alla NWA.
L'NWA World Heavyweight Title esiste dal 1948 ed è stato difeso nelle varie
federazioni associate alla NWA, in questo albo d'oro sono presenti solo i
detentori del titolo da quando questo è stato difeso nella TNA. Dal 14 maggio
2007 l'NWA World Heavyweight Title è stato sostituito dal TNA World Heavyweight
Title
(1) Il primo NWA World Heavyweight Title della storia della TNA viene assegnato
in un 20-man Gauntlet Match. Ken Shamrock si aggiudica il match sconfiggendo per
ultimo Malice
(2) Conquista il titolo in uno "Steel Cage Match"
(3) Sconfigge AJ Styles, Chris Harris e Raven in un "Deadly Draw
Match"
(4) Sconfigge Ron Killings, AJ Styles, Chris Harris e Raven in un "King of
the Mountain Match"
(5) Sconfigge AJ Styles, Abyss, Monty Brown e Sean Waltman in un "King of
the Mountain Match"
(6) Sconfigge Raven ad un evento della Border City Wrestling
(7) Sconfigge Christan Cage, Sting, Abyss & Ron Killings in un "King Of
The Mountain Match"
(8) Sconfigge Abyss e Sting in un "Elimination Match"
(9) Il 13 maggio, a Sacrifice 2007, Kurt Angle viene proclamato campione dopo
aver vinto un Three Way Match contro Christian Cage e Sting in maniera
controversa. Lo stesso giorno l'NWA si distacca dalla TNA e dichiara i propri
titoli vacanti. Il 17 maggio, a Impact!, viene annunciata la sostituzione dell'NWA
World Heavyweight Title con il TNA World Heavyweight Title e viene ritenuta non
valida la vittoria del titolo da parte di Kurt Angle a Sacrifice.
