WWE 2K20 COVER SUPERSTARS BECKY LYNCH & ROMAN REIGNS USHER IN FRANCHISE FIRSTS
2K today announced current Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch and WWE Superstar Roman Reigns as the cover Superstars for WWE 2K20, the forthcoming release in the flagship WWE video game franchise. Lynch and Reigns will serve as ambassadors for WWE 2K20’s worldwide marketing campaign – “Step Inside” – which invites players to enter the world of WWE and face a variety of new and exciting challenges in the virtual ring. WWE 2K20 is currently scheduled for worldwide release on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 for the PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system and the Xbox One family of devices, including the Xbox One X and Windows PC. Players who purchase the WWE 2K20 Deluxe Edition or Collector’s Edition will receive in-game bonuses, including playable Superstars Chyna, Hulk Hogan, Mankind and The Rock, in addition to the Standard Edition game.

“My career has been about breaking barriers and doing what nobody else has done before. Being the first female Superstar on the cover of a WWE 2K video game is no exception,” said Becky Lynch.

“As a gamer myself, being on the cover of WWE 2K20 alongside ‘The Man’ Becky Lynch and joining the likes of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and John Cena is a huge career and personal milestone for me,” said Roman Reigns.



WWE 2K20, in direct response to fan feedback, will include several franchise firsts alongside streamlined gameplay and a variety of popular modes. The story-driven, objective-based 2K Showcase: The Women’s Evolution will follow the careers of the Four Horsewomen – Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch, SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley, Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks. Controls will be streamlined to allow new players to jump into the game more easily, while experienced players will still enjoy a challenge.

In addition, WWE 2K20 players will be able to compete as both male and female Superstars in MyCAREER and Mixed Tag matches, while last year’s popular WWE Towers returns with exciting new challenges, including a story-driven Tower centered around the career of Roman Reigns.

The game will also introduce a new service model – WWE 2K20 Originals – set to deliver a wealth of 2K Showcase add-on content for player exploration beyond the game’s initial launch. Each of the WWE 2K20 Originals will present a new playable world and its own unique theme, with more details to be announced in the coming months. WWE 2K20 Originals is downloadable content that may require additional purchase. Players who pre-order the WWE 2K20 Standard Edition will receive access to the first WWE 2K20 Originals package when it launches.

Pare che si siano separati da Yuke's e che già la parte conclusiva dello sviluppo di questo titolo sia stata affidata al team di NBA2K.
Lo spero vivamente per gli anni a venire,ciò che hanno mostrato è visivamente improponibile e comunicativamente hanno già fatto intendere che cosa sarà sta roba.

Io personalmente, pur detestando gli elementi "fantastici" nei giochi sportivi, preferisco dei DLC che aggiungano replay value ( questi originals avranno ognuno una specie di mini story mode) ai pacchetti di superstar aggiunti ad minchiam 6 mesi dopo l'uscita. Vedremo. Secondo me questo cambiamento dei DLC può essere un cambiamento positivo in prospettiva.

Per me sarà pure quest'anno il nulla atomico. Nel 2015 ero stracontento perchè finalmente la serie tornava su PC, ottima grafica e tutto. Lo showcase davvero tanta roba con le rivalità Punk/Cena e Triplo/HBK. Il 2K16 l'ho preso per lo showcase su Austin con un bel tuffo di nuovo nell'attitude, da lì in poi il nulla totale. Modalità carriera che gira e rigira è sempre la stessa roba, modalità universe che sì ma anche no, tanto vale metti la GM. Non c'è quella modalità che ti tiene attaccato per ore al gioco. Il 19 manco l'ho preso nonostante lo showcase di Bryan

Del 20, lo showcase sulle horsewomen sticazzi colossale visto che sarà zeppo di match e incroci tra le quattro ripetuti all'inverosimile intervallato da qualche filmato. Già pregusto la serie di 7 match consecutivi tra Sasha Banks e Charlotte dove a cambiare sarà solo l'arena, roba nuova mi dicono. Gioco morto e sepolto da anni ormai. Peccato perchè a me il gameplay piace così, la trovata delle reverse contate è buona. Prima era davvero atroce, e per me il sistema di WWE'XX era il peggiore. Era un continuo spam di pugni e calci con reverse ad ogni mossa

Sinceramente sono poco tentato.

Sicuramente concordo che manca una modalità che ti lasci attaccato, serve una completa rinfrescata allo Universe, partendo da zero o da una base come lo Universe di WWE '13, semplice e IMMEDIATO, no che ci metti come ora un intero pomeriggio a guardare schermate di caricamento solo per impostare i vari PPV.

La GM nì, nel senso che sarebbe perfetto come modalità a parte come la MyGM dei titoli NBA, perché soppiantare lo Universe anche no, uccideresti tutta la parte sandbox che in giochi come questi sono parte vitale della Community. Però insomma, nemmeno a riciclare le GM Mode degli SvR che nonostante fossero buone avevano numerosissime pecche (una su tutte il sistema di rating e popolarità del tuo avversario AI).

Ah, il passaggio tra Yuke e VC mi spaventa tantissimo: entro quanti anni avremo le microtransazioni anche per premere il tasto start all'avvio e pubblicità di 30 secondi non skippabili (vd. NBA 2K19)?

Ah, aggiungo dopo qualche giorno, ci sono altre che andrebbero migliorate:
- Gimmick match con arene bloccate (ES. Royal Rumble, EC). Se pensiamo a miglioramenti nello Universe questo punto deve essere un focus primario.
- Separazione tra offline e online nella Carriera. Ecco quando dicevo che l'acquisizione di 2K mi preoccupava pensavo a questo, perché questo è il grosso problema che non mi fa giocare la carriera in NBA 2K, e ora che VC ha preso le redini... è stato bello finire la storia della Carriera del 2k19 avendo un overall da jobber di Main Event.
- Caricamento. Troppe schermate di caricamento, troppo lunghe.
- (soggettivo) Cambiare i colori del menu. Ho odiato 2K19 su questo, non sapevo su quale casella stavo, la combinazione di colori mi dava parecchio fastidio, spesso nello Universe ho simulato card che in realtà volevo giocare.

Ma non considerandolo un gioco da prendere ogni anno, sinceramente dubito di prendere il 20, anche dovesse costare nuovamente 29 euro...

Un paio di anni fa' feci un lavoro per un'editore e consapevole che per tempistiche,paga irrisoria e periodo problematico venne fuori un prodotto abbastanza di m***a.
Durante la promozione della cosa non aprii social,recensioni e mi tenni abbastanza alla larga da leggerne i commenti,poi alla fine il risultato venne apprezzato anche al di là delle mie aspettative.
Nel mio piccolo fu un periodo terrificante.
Contento che 2k non si ponga di questi problemi nel mostrarci la nuova espansione di The Sims: WWE life.

Che imbarazzo. Ma non a livello di contenuti, oddio, sta cosa ci può anche stare. Per lo meno c'è una storia dietro con le voci reali, già meglio del solito piattume.
Ma è imbarazzante a livello di grafica (quella tomba diobo, grafica PS1 ad andare larghi), le animazioni una merda totale.
