mah vedremo certo che se, uno dei persoanggi più importanti muore cosi un ci rimango male più che altro perchè attorno a Snow girano tante potenziali svolte narrative non esplorate partendo dalla madre (che è stata tirat in ballo in metà delle congetture dei fan).
Acclaimed director David Nutter has directed two of the most heartbreaking episodes in “Game of Thrones” history. In season three, he helmed “The Rains of Castamere,” which depicted the notorious Red Wedding, an event so traumatizing that videos of fans’ reactions to the scene went viral. Nutter however has even topped that, with the season five finale, which featured the deaths of three prominent characters: Princess Myrcella Baratheon (Nell Tiger Free), would-be King Stannis Baratheon (Stephen Dillane) and Jon Snow (Kit Harington), who was one of the show’s few remaining good guys. While we saw a poisoned Myrcella perish in front of her father, Jaime Lannister, and Jon bleed out on the snow courtesy of a “Julius Caesar”-style stabbing attack by members of the Night’s Watch, we didn’t see the grisly end for Stannis, who was taken down by Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie).
Nutter, who has directed six episodes of the series overall, talked to Speakeasy about why the episode didn’t show that moment, what he thinks about fans’ reactions to Jon’s death and why he won’t direct a “Game of Thrones” episode in season six.
So, with so many graphic death scenes, why did Nutter chose not to show the moment Lady Brienne of Tarth executed King Stannis, who previously had become the most hated man on the series after burning is own daughter at the stake?
“I think there was a real sense of inevitability toward what was going to happen, and I think anything beyond that would have been somewhat gratuitous. I know for us to say that about “Game of Thrones,” that’s an interesting way to put it, but you could really get a sense that Stannis knew that his time had come, and there was nothing else really to say, nothing else really to do. I always believe that editing is the kind of thing where you want to cut into a scene a little bit after it starts and get out before it ends. This is exactly what we did in this sequence, and I thought it worked perfectly.”
Adding, “It wasn’t even filmed for safety. Dave and Dan were very clear with how they wanted the scene dealt with and handled, and I was there to provide that for them.”

Hanno miliardi di roba da inserire per far progredire in maniera inesorabilmente lenta la storia.
Poi basta che non tirano fuori Lady Stoneheart (che spero venga segata di brutta maniera pure nei libri) e stiamo tutti apposto.

In pratica Catelyn Stark viene riportata in vita dopo le nozze rosse da Thoros di Myr. Sacerdote di R'hollot partito con Beric Dondarrion per uccidere Gregor Clegane nel primo libro. Dopo che riporta in vita Beric ucciso da Gregor creano la Fratellanza senza Vessilli e continua a riportare in vita Beric. Poi Cat, diventata Lady Stoneheart ne diventa capo praticamente uccidendo tutti i Lannister, Frey,... che considera colpevoli di aver tradito lei e altri. E incontra anche Brienne.
L'attrice, pure recentemente, ha detto che non sarebbe tornata. Sinceramente spero che sia vero, nel libro mi era sembrato un colpo di scena proprio "a cazzo".
A quanto pare, tolta la parte di Bran e qualche altra cosuccia già scritta nei libri usciti che vogliono inserire nel telefilm, il resto della stagione sarà sul libro in uscita.
Probabilmente il libro essendo di 1500 pagine, utilizzeranno 2 stagioni.
Ma anche se arrivassero al 2018 o addirittura 2019 per la stagione finale, dubito che Martin riuscirebbe a finire il libro finale.
Dubito abbiano tolto tutta la bellissima parte di Jaime a Riverlands (e di Brienne che comunque si trova nella stessa regione) per poi mettere LSH in "ritardo". mi darebbe parecchio fastidio.
Contando che quasi sicuramente nella prossima stagione tornerà Bran, non penso proprio che verrà aggiunta un'ulteriore località perchè inizierebbero ad esser davvero troppe.
