"Finale" della Unit Survival Race tra Jimmyz e Verserk.
Diciamo che l'esperimento non ha funzionato proprio benissimo.
Tra l'altro nel momento in cui annunci i vari match titolati per il PPV e le uniche stables che non hanno nessuno dentro (tranne Kagetora) sono loro diventa poi scontato come finirà la classifica.

Mochizuki/Shimizu a tratti notevole, con il primo che ha quasi 48 anni e ne dimostra almeno 10 di meno, l'altro che ha la metà dei suoi anni e lo vedo sempre più come un ottimo prospetto, mentre El Principe non mi pare fosse tanto fiducioso nei suoi confronti lo scorso anno.

Continuo a non esserlo visto che è sempre lo stesso, va bene come enforcer nei tag e nelle orge, ma alla larga da match singoli importanti. Troppo distratto e non sa proprio cos'è il selling. I prospetti sono altri, tipo Takehiro Yamamura. Poi il match non l'ho visto perchè a visione con la Dragon Gate sono fermo allo show al Korakuen di agosto, dunque boh magari per una volta e rimasto in focus e ha fatto il match della carriera ma la vedo dura.

Del resto Mochizuki è un fuoriclasse e nel match titolato farà il suo alla grande. Peccato abbia poche possibilità di vincere, perché il regno di YAMATO davvero ha scassato alla grande tutto l'apparato riproduttivo maschile possibile, da mesi, e ormai farlo perdere così a cazzum la vedo dura, anche se ne sarebbero capaci. Comunque è vero, il torneo delle unit è stato frustrante, difficile da seguire a causa della difficoltà di avere chiara la classifica e soprattutto scontato, visto che i Jimmyz erano i papabili perdenti dall'inizio e ovviamente si sapeva che avrebbero dovuto perdere contro l'unica unit heel per fargli avere cheap heat. Resta solo da capire quale Jimmy tradirà i compagni costando loro il match

Secondo me in finale ci fa quasi sicuramente Io. Dovendomi sbilanciare proprio direi che la finale sarà Io vs Mayu

Comunque inaspettata la sua presenza in finale, mi aspettavo Mayu, ma almeno così possono costruire molte sfide per le sue cinture

Vero è una stronzata ma sinceramente son contento per lui e per la fine del regno di YAMATO, che non hanno costriuto per niente, tranne forse un po' la difesa con Kong, anche il DOA match è stato senza storie. Dopotutto è un marchio di fabbrica la chiusura di regni all'improvviso senza uno straccio di storia dietro, tipo l'ultimo di hulk.

CIMA opened the show with a quick personal anecdote. A typhoon was in the area over the weekend. It brought a lot of rain to Tokyo. Dangerous Gate started a few hours early for CIMA because after his usual late night training session he began to walk home but his umbrella was blown inside out. He also brought up twice having to leave this very show in an ambulance. Thankfully, the last two years have been No Ambulance Gate and hopefully that trend continues.

YAMATO & Mochizuki had a confrontation after match two. Mochizuki promised to fight as long as there was even a flicker of fire left in him. He hoped that fans would cheer him until their voices were nearly burned out. YAMATO couldn’t contain his excitement. He felt like a grade school student right before a field trip. He is going to be in a lot of pain in a few hours but he is looking forward to it more than anything. He started to talk about how fighting with Mochizuki was different from everyone else, but it appeared Mochizuki had stopped listening so he got a little more serious. Their fight is one that has no need for barbed wire or other gimmicks. When they fight, it lives up to the name Dangerous Gate.

CIMA escalated the Young Generation/Young MaxiMuM feud. He implored Eita & Yamamura to aim for Doi & Yoshino. CIMA challenged Ben-K & Shimizu to come after the Twin Gate so they can finish their clean sweep of MaxiMuM. When you think of the Twin Gate, there are only 3 letters that come to mind. C-K-1.

Verserk celebrated. T-Hawk said a stale and directionless unit was put out of it’s misery today. This was only the beginning. Verserk were once again the center of Dragon Gate and nothing can stop their rampage. They left the Jimmyz to give some token parting words to whatever fans they had left. They ripped the Jimmyz t-shirt from Kagetora but struggled to actually tear it up.

Susumu apologized for losing. They would abide by the rules and split up. This all started nearly 6 years ago when himself & Kagetora had a match where if they lost they would have to change their names. It was cruel and unusual punishment and they hated it. But the fans were there for them. They were joined by Saito, Horiguchi, & Candy a few months later. Then, two years ago in this very same building under the same circumstances, K-ness betrayed Mad Blankey and joined them. That was the start of their second chapter. Someone as plain as him was able to have so much success and so many great memories over the last 5-6 years because of the fans that supported the Jimmyz. That Jimmy name that he once hated so much. Today he fought with all his might to keep it. He failed. The Jimmyz are finished. But not today. He wants one more chance to see some of the fans from all over the country as a Jimmy one last time. A few weeks. Just to say goodbye. Then they will come back to Tokyo for the October Korakuen Hall show and bring the train to its final stop.

Mochizuki was seconded by the former Team Veteran members. CIMA was the first to congratulate him. While he felt compelled to come out and be in his corner for the match, he honestly didn’t expect him to win. Mochizuki told him that after 20 years, CIMA was able to read what was in his heart without saying a word. He actually wasn’t sure of his chances either. Was he still strong enough to handle someone like YAMATO? Would the result today make him start to consider retirement? He wasn’t sure. But at 47 years and 8 months he was now Dream Gate champion for the third time. He mused about his early days in the Kitao Dojo and being sent out into the world. He brought up that this was the 20th anniversary year for CIMA & Fujii. CIMA told the story about meeting Mocchy 20 years ago in a freezing cold venue in Aomori before a Michinoku Pro Wrestling show. When they arrived for the show Mochizuki was already there, warming up next to a small heater by himself. Mochizuki recalled that he had been there for 2 hours by then. CIMA said that he is still like that. Himself & Gamma are always late in getting to the building but Mochizuki is usually the first one there and is the first one warming up. He’s seen this up close for 20 years. He shouldn’t have expected him to lose today. He should have expected it. He shouldn’t be surprised that at 47 years old, 20 years after meeting him, Mochizuki would once again bring him to tears.
Mochizuki changed the subject. With the Jimmyz disbanded and an old bastard as champion there was probably going to be a lot of turmoil in the coming days. He told CIMA & Fujii that they should celebrate their 20th anniversary while they still had a chance. They decided to team together as a trio. Discussing opponents, they agreed that it would only be fitting that they face off with some opponents from the place where they first met. Mochizuki was tasked with contacting the Michinoku Pro Wrestling office and booking a trio to face them.

Mochizuki closed the show out. At 47 years and 8 months, he is once again champion. He will probably have to fight off challengers that are half his age. He’s not sure how long his stamina will hold out but he is ready to carry Dragon Gate again. He had a planned trip to Europe this weekend with CIMA and a few others. Now he is going as champion. He will proudly go and show the world what the champion of Dragon Gate is made of. He promised to deliver more thrilling and chest pounding excitement.

Comunque una decina di giorni fa la Ice Ribbon ha organizzato una conferenza stampa sulla questione Tsukushi, e lei stessa è salita sul ring allo show del 9 per scusarsi pubblicamente con tutti, rigorosamente in nero come da tradizione di joshi penitenti. Dovrebbe essere stata riabilitata.

Syuri ha vinto all'esordio in UFC portandosi sul 6-0

Dal wrestling resta fuori per l'accordo con la UFC fino al 23/10, poi spero comunque torni attiva perchè era in grandissimo spolvero

Notizie grossissime e clamorose per quanto riguarda la DDT. Ieri infatti è stato annunciato che il 100% delle azioni è stato rilevato il primo settembre da CyberAgent, una società di servizi internet tra cui uno di streaming, AmebaTV, che manderà in onda materiale proveniente da tutti i brand della federazione. La struttura dirigenziale dovrebbe rimanere la stessa, con Sanshiro Takagi sempre presidente, affiancato dal direttore di CyberAgent Takahiro Yamauchi. Boh, qualche dubbio resta in attesa di ulteriori dettagli, speriamo che rimangano invariati prodotto e stile tipico, e anche il DDT Network. Questi pare abbiano soldi però

Si è infortunata oggi nel match per la Red Belt contro Toni Storm ed il match è stato interrotto dopo appena due minuti. Mayu è già uscita dall'ospedale, niente di così grave come la sua reazione al dolore aveva fatto presagire, gomito lussato, due tre settimane di riposo e torna come nuova.

Finito di vedere il 5 stars: la finale proprio non me l'aspettavo, ma dal punto di vista del booking è stata piuttosto sensata visto il risultato e gli intrecci successivi. Il match in sè mi ha convinto si e no, mi è piaciuta più che altro la fase finale.

Non condivido il best bout assegnato a Kagetsu-Mayu, ho trovato migliori Io-Storm, Viper-Mayu e Kagetsu-Kimura (quest'ultimo soprattutto per il post match ).

Molto godibile l'ultimo show, con 4 match sicuramente buoni, e ho adorato Mayu - Kagetsu ancora di più del loro match precedente, bello tirato, impressionante spot iniziale e sono riusciti a fare anche buonissimo climax finale (per me match del torneo, sono d'accordo con il premio).



Giusta la vittoria della Storm
Non ho capito la logica regolamentare per cui tra 4 persone in ex aequo in finale ci è andata Noto, ma fa niente.

Nei prossimi giorni vedo i due show successivi che li hanno caricati bene.

Yoko Bito è arrivata in finale perché in una classifica avulsa tra le 4 ha fatto più punti di Mayu e Kagetsu e gli stessi di Viper, ma su quest'ultima aveva il vantaggio della vittoria nello scontro diretto.


Ho visto i due match finali di PRO-WRESTLING LOVE 2017 IN YOKOHAMA del 2 settembre, lo show più importante dell'anno della WRESTLE-1. Come risultato di pubblico in generale 1800 spettatori non sono benissimo visto che anche la NOAH nella stessa arena fa un po' di più, ma per la W-1 non è da buttare. Dunque ho visto i match per i titoli tag e il main event per il tiolo massimo, del resto della card penso che recupererò solo il match per il titolo Result, considerando che nel lowcard non c'erano Hana Kimura, Reika Saiki e le Actwres e che ormai l'unica cosa che desta un minimo di interesse per la federazione è osservare come procede la crescita dei giovani che stanno tenendo in piedi la baracca. Il match per titolo Cruiser è l'ennesimo Yoshioka/Wu con l'ennesimo cambio di titolo alla prima difesa dunque sticazzi, quello per i Trios è il solito match da 10 minuti con gente non proprio bella da vedere su un ring come MAZADA e Kono ( ) dunque sticazzi e per il match di Mutoh idem anche se c'erano Marufuji, Shingo e Fujinami.

Il match per il titolo tag (NEWERA Koji Doi/Kumagoro(c) vs Team 246 Kaz Hayashi/Shuji Kondo) non è stato malaccio per la maggior parte, buona azione continua e 0 pause ma anche un finale bruttino e niente di speciale, da 6. Koji Doi e Kumagoro non sono male, soprattutto il primo, e hanno dimostrato di poter fare di meglio, inoltre era lecito aspettarsi un po' di più da un tag di grande esperienza come il Team 246.

Il main event (Shotaro Ashino (c) vs Jiro Kuroshio) sono contento di averlo recuperato perché è stato uno dei migliori match della storia della federazione, se non addirittura il migliore. Vero è il fatto che non ci voglia molto ad essere il miglior match di sempre della W-1 ma questo è stato davvero un signor match con il solo difetto di essere stato messo in scena in una federazione disgraziata e non in New Japan dunque nessuno si è interessato e lo ha calcolato. Dovrei rivedere quel Minoru Tanaka/Hiroshi Yamato che consideravo il meglio mai visto in W-1 ma questo è stato più coinvolgente emotivamente. Prima fase di mat wrestling e già viene delineata la main story del match, con Shotaro che lavora le gambe del Bello, che vende abbastanza bene diminuendo le acrobazie man mano che il match e il work proseguono (a differenza di Kondo e Soya, tremendi su questo aspetto quando hanno affrontato il campione) in vista della sua ankle lock risolutiva, e Jiro che va al braccio e da underdog fa di tutto per provare a contrastare il rivale. 36 minuti volati benissimo fino alle fasi finali molto belle in cui il drama raggiunge i massimi livelli e dove tutti i nodi della storia vengono al pettine, tra counter e near falls avvincenti. Nel mezzo buone manovre veloci di Kuroshio, con tanto di mega spot moonsault alla Kota dalla balaustra nella solita reffa tra il pubblico a inizio match, per arginare la forza del campione che si manifesta nelle molteplici varianti di suplex messe a segno, anche sul e dal turnbuckle. Davvero bene a sto giro questo main event W-1.

Match della maturità e della vita per Kuroshio, che ha dimostarato di meritare lo spot in cui è stato messo e il perchè sia uno dei più over della fed. Shotaro Ashino sta portando avanti un buon regno contando che ha poco più di due anni di esperienza e impressiona per la sicurezza sul ring e nell'extraring dove tiene bene la scena. Poi è anche un tifoso sfegatato Gunners ( ). Dunque appena la W-1 implode, e prima o poi inevitabilmente succederà, subito in All Japan.
