Per me sui 5 round vinceva pure il precedente. Amanda è potente ma dura poco, dovrebbe buttarla giù nel primo, e Bullett non è semplice da buttar giù. Poi è ultra aggressiva, si proietta proprio avanti per colpire, e ciò potrebbe favorire il counter-striking di Valentina. Boh, Amanda è brava pure a terra eh, ma Valentina sta migliorando ed il suo camp è molto buono in quel senso.

I miglioramenti a terra (che hanno colto Pena totalmente di sorpresa, altrimenti non sarebbe stata così entusiasta nel clinch) mi fanno propendere per Bullet infatti. Nello striking già vedo la Shevchenko superiore - come dici tu, non più potente ma più intelligente.

Esatto, intelligente. Basta vedere contro Holly, non le ha permesso di prendere il suo ritmo, di eseguire il game-plan. Ed Holly ha un buonissimo striking ed un eccezionale footwork, secondo me.

Though it's been assumed by most that Ronda Rousey would retire from mixed martial arts after her loss against Amanda Nunes, there hasn't been much said by Rousey or those close to her since the immediate fallout of UFC 207.

That changed with Dana White's appearance on Tuesday's UFC Unfiltered podcast. While responding to a question about Rousey's MMA future, White noted that he had talked to her earlier in the morning and didn't think that she would fight again.

“She’s good, man. Her spirits are good. She’s doing her thing. In the conversation that I had with her, if I had to say right here, right now, and again I don’t like saying right here, right now because it’s up to her and it’s her thing, but I wouldn’t say she fights again,” White said. “I think she’s probably done. I think she’s going to ride off into the sunset and start living her life outside of fighting.”

White said that Rousey's career record meant everything to her before she lost to Holly Holm at UFC 193, but she began questioning what she was doing and wanted to do more after that fight. He said that Rousey has enough money and wouldn't need to make any again if she didn't want to after earning so much in her career.

"I'm happy for her. She came in, she changed the world, she put female fighting on the map. she's been part of the biggest fights in the history of women's fighting, and I hope those records can be broken," White said. "I don't know if they can, but I hope they can."

Rousey returned to the Octagon after an absence of more than a year following her loss to Holm to challenge Nunes for the women's bantamweight championship last December. While putting up almost no resistance against Nunes' strikes, Rousey was knocked out in 48 seconds.

In a statement that she put out after losing that fight, Rousey said that she would need to take some time to think about her future.

Due cose su tre match da Fight Night 104:

Alexa Grasso un po' sgonfiata, non ha fatto praticamente nulla contro Herrig (che non è granché) fino al terzo round, giudici un po' duri ma la vittoria della Herrig ci sta. Comunque la Grasso è giovane e crescerà, ma probabilmente deve cambiare camp perché ha dei difetti sistematici (calcia male, si muove poco, testa ferma).

Andrade-Hill bel match, Andrade probabilmente è dopata ma che ci vogliamo fare. Hill molto cresciuta nel periodo in Invicta, ma qui ha dovuto reggere col mento e poco altro. Più tecnica e pulita sicuramente, ma la differenza a livello di potenza ed esplosività è grossa. Andrade tra l'altro contro Joanna ha buone chance ora che è migliorata di cardio, a meno che JJ non riesca a sfruttare qualche buco difensivo.

Tecia Torres vs Bec Rawlings brutto, la Rawlings non ne ha, la Torres è noiosissima. Comunque Bec dice che lascia le strawweight (ha pure sforato col peso stavolta), ma capace che lasci la UFC direttamente.

Io per ora ho visto solo Bec-Torres. Ora guardo la Main Card, domani semmai recupero le altre prelims.
Concordo su Bec, non è riuscita ad imporre la maggior altezza/stazza, probabilmente la prestazione di ieri è dovuta anche ai problemi col weight cut. Lei ha detto che ciò è dovuto alla cura di una malattia della tiroide, magari anche all'età -va per i 29.
Mi sembra abbiano annunciato la divisione 125 pound, sempre se non la liberano prima.
Tecia un pò noiosetta, è vero, ma non è che abbia dovuto forzare per la vittoria.

Come cazzo abbia fatto la Hill a restare in piedi con tutti i colpi che ha preso è un mistero.
La Andrade sarà un avversaria tosta per la campionessa Joanna, contando anche che sembrava non avere nessun problema di cardio.

Hill è una tosta, infatti quasi mi spiace che sia andata contro Andrade (avrebbe vinto sia contro Grasso che contro Torres ieri), ma lei ha sempre detto che non vuole incontri facili.

L'unico dubbio, dicevo sopra, su Andrade è che JJ possa sfruttare qualche buco difensivo (Andrade è più forza che tecnica), ma la campionessa non parte necessariamente favorita, che è una bella novità.

L'ultimo evento sulla FOX più piacevole di quanto pensassi, sicuramente un buon Shevchenko-Pena per chiudere una card su quattro incontri interessanti.

Meno invece l'ultima Fight Night, con un Andrade-Hill decisamente buono, sia per la Hill che per la Andrade, con la prima che mostra di essere in miglioramento costante, e un Sung Jung che torna con una vittoria incisiva.

Bassino l'interesse per il 208.
